  1. I would definitely prefer this to be the case, seems like every meeting either Klindt or Frederiksen is missing, Frustrating. Really hope for next season there is more stability.
  2. Scott Nicholls is a Gladiator for the rest of the season. Mitchell Cluff out. I liked Cluff he's a nice guy and I wanted it to work for him, think it's going to be a long flight home for him and his Dad. Genuine shame it didn't work out. Very excited to see Scotty putting some big points up.
  3. In other news...can we all agree that if this weekends home fixture is postponed due to the weather (as it is forecast be very poor) that there wouldn't have been a Plymouth home fixture for 2 months by the time the next fixture is on!!! That's 28th May - 26th July without a fixture....that is only 2 postponements aswell. There are fans all over the south-west chomping at the bit to spend their money watching Speedway. Nothing good about that.
  4. A rider was putting in some laps on Saturday when my boy was riding in the skid school, won't say his name just in case they do announce him and I am being out of line. If like you say 'the promotion have a new signing in the offing' who else loses their place in the current line up for said rider if you are right?
  5. There's not 1 reason, I had been a handful of times and went to Cardiff on a few occasions and always kept up with the SGP but during lockdown I felt like I missed something that I only really dipped in and out of so decided to go to Plymouth a few years ago and felt the sounds and smells that I had grown up with. Makes it easier when you come from a Speedway family to get other family involved, I went to 3 GP's last year and I have Warsaw and the SON booked this year so I am enjoying being a part of it again. It makes it all the more enjoyable for me knowing how small the community is. If only I had time to help Plymouth out in some way as I wouldn't want to lose it down here, we are lucky to have it. If a sport like Darts can become as big as it is I hope speedway can have some sort of resurgence. I couldn't agree more, this thread is a hard read, I am genuinely embarrassed for grown men have paid to watch the stream and have taken the time to go online and tear it apart as they watch it. I was at the meeting and so was my 8 year old and he loves every minute of the racing, it may not be the speedway the dinosaurs used to watch in the 80s but the volunteers at Plymouth put their all into getting the meetings on and the unkindness on this thread is honestly embarrassing to read. I just don't understand in one breath you can feel so bad for the state of British speedway but then rubbish every effort that is made to keep it going year in year out at Plymouth. The catchment area of fans in the south-west has huge potential and the social media team has put in a noticeable effort this year, having ridden grass-track and been the mascot at Reading back in the early 90's I hadn't watched or been involved in Speedway since, after moving to Devon Plymouth speedway is the reason I have gained an interest again and I have introduced family and friends that will no doubt go in the future. Either lift the sport up and promote it positively or stop paying your money to watch it.

  7. With tickets still not on sale, do we know what the hold up is? Is it conceivable that it may go the way of Cardiff and have to get tagged onto another GP?
  8. If they have the venue setup with all the riders, fans and officials in the same place, why would they change it to the following weekend?
  9. Does anyone know when Gorzow tickets go on sale? I saw they are on financial trouble and seemed to have only just paid SGP/Warner bros the proceeds of last year's GP. This would seem like the delay otherwise they would be out by now.
  10. Geoff Gale is my father, He lives in the Berkshire area. email me privately if you would like any other details.
  11. Hi Kev. Came across this purely by chance. as you can see by the surname hes my Dad! I have only registered for this forum to reply to you so not sure if you can send me a private message so I can can give you his details?
