Speedway Star Season Preview Special Best Ever
Grand Central replied to TonyMac's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
If they had got within 9 metres of decent coverage on Darcy Ward. No one would have commented. PS Great issue this week. And s0d Tescos. On ipad and PC is so, so much better. -
March is ended. It is my feeling that there have been no more injuries this year in the 'March, start of season period' than any other year in my Speedway watching life. That is 40 years. Despite what other people are saying. And I know other people think differently. But can anyone produce ANY statistics to PROVE me wrong?

It's a bit of a surprise to find the Archbishop of.Sunderland jumping to the defense of certain people who are, themselves, so aggressive and borderline abusive in their postings. I pray that His Grace will look upon the really worthy with more forgiveness. . -
Wolves V Coventry Monday 30th March
Grand Central replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
So now we know. You choose your team, not to win, but on the basis that someone MIGHT get injured. You postpone meetings when it is dry just in case it MIGHT rain. I suggest we do away with the entire league as Poole MIGHT win. Let's just all give up, altogether, eh? -

When it comes to giving presents for the festive season. We are always being told that 'A Puppy is not just for Christmas'. Apparently some people were given just one single brain cell. And it truly did 'only last for xmas'. -

Thank you for that clarification. I remain a little confused as surely one of them was married to that Mrs Boswell from Liverpool but still managed to conduct orchestras in his spare time, -

To avoid any gustix-type confusion. Am I right in thinking that 'John Davies' is any relation to the peroxide-coiffed burger merchant John Davis? -
It is the subliminal nature of this form of advertising that concerns me the most. Being of a rather suggestive nature myself. I fear that come the end of April I shall find myself making a phone call to those nice people to arrange delivery of an elevator. All of my own. I have succumbed to many on-screen deals in the past and just had to pay up. So it is not the cost that worries me from making such an impulsive purchase. My real worry is that I live in a Bungalow. .

Make that 4, now. It really is an infallible guide to idiocy. -
I'm glad that Andy and Joanne are so delighted with their association. Not so sure myself. Being known as 'Two Minute Tomlin'. Is not something that should please Him. Or, indeed, Her.

Only last night I was talking with the regulars down the pub. Oh how they laughed. And mocked. Speedway! Pah! What a stupid sport. As they all expressed outrage at the plight of Jason Bunyan. Meanwhile, in Wapping a meeting of Red Top editors shelved their plans for blanket speedway coverage. 'Jason Bunyan' was the only name on their lips. Sometimes it needs a keen mind to bring the true woes of the sport into proper perspective.

.Absolutely right, I could not agree more. The pieces on Bob Radford and Martin Yeates are superb. . -

.Yes, perhaps it's just me. A bit over sensitive. But then I reacted badly when I saw the knife-wielding Jihadi John on the front page of the National newspapers last week. It may be the top story. But I'd just rather not offer them the glory. . -

.Well, Phil gives him a paragraph or two of mild admonishment. It is not a spanking that would cause pain. Not even redden the cheeks. But beware, Muddio is actually given the 'Guest Columnist ' page this week. I kid you not. This weeks edition is the Surbiton version of a journalistic V-sign to their critics. "Everyone hates us. And we don't care." -

Surprised to see the front cover of today's Speedway Star. A disgraced rider who has been recently banned by the sport's worldwide governing body. For failing an alcohol test. Featured in a full action photo at a Grand Prix. Just like some riders get when they have enjoyed a sweet and admirable victory. On track. Interesting moral standards some people have. -

The smell of the onions would surely have been offset by the perfume? -

The sentence given in last weeks statement was described as 'the operative part of the judgement'. I presume that is the sentence in totality. There is no fine imposed, there is no mention of the costs awarded, or not But most importantly there was the total absence of any 'suspended' element. Just the sort of thing that would help keep the poor simpleton on the straight and narrow. At least for a while. -

Foolish, foolish boy. Four months spent in dignified silence. Planning for the future, making a few key decisions on matters that could really make a difference. Getting himself in the right frame of mind and getting his set up just right to hit the ground running in July. Putting all the pieces in place to make 2016 'his year'. It could have been the springboard for the rest of his career. But is he going to be stupid and fight a battle he has already lost? As I say. Foolish, Foolish Boy. If he does -
