Season should always start no earlier than mid-April, whilst the weather is unpredictable all year round starting in March is asking for trouble. We were fortunate we got a small window were it was reasonably dry last week.

Part & Parcel of running a speedway team, to be honest dismantling last years team was always going to happen as most were performing to a very mediocre standard and capitulated in the big heats when it mattered most Lawson & Summers being the main culprits, Lawson was good at home whilst Aaron wasn't even that towards the tail end, no big deal new team new season nothing to see here.

To be fair on the night it did flatter us slightly with Richie on his second bike and our numerous tape offences. Need to sort out the issues but i think we should have enough to win on aggregate.

Used to have the odd lunch with Stewart a while back and saw first hand how much the club meant to him , the man bled red & white this must be a really difficult decision for Stewart to make. All the best in whatever you do Stewart and hope you can still attend he will be a big miss.

According to blob man it is only a pre-season friendly , as far as we are concerned there are no friendlies in a local derby get out there and pump them, glad i got that off my chest feel better now. On a side note i notice Blobby has made reference to follow the leader on the track can i ask if this is based on every home meeting last season Blobby or what are you basing it on 3 meetings against Edinburgh ? if so i would be asking about the away teams attitude on not competing with the home team.

It really only takes say a Lewis Rose to go to the next level which he is very capable of as long as he stays injury free and this team has a whole new complexion. Whilst i get what people are saying but you only need one rider to really kick on , also have a feeling that this will not be the team 4 or 5 weeks into the season i would urge people to keep the faith some may say a bit rich coming from a Glasgow fan but we also have seen the bad times more than the good , this team may just surprise you.

The new stretch of M8 Harthill through to Shawhead has certainly helped ease the strain and being a Friday it eases off earlier. Will be more congested getting out of Edinburgh than getting into Glasgow. But you know the Script give yourself 30 minutes finger twiddling time and it should be all good. Weather permitting of course.
