  1. I don't think this is the formality some are making out or in Scotsmans case reverse psychology syndrome. Whilst Perks is a major loss for the bears this is no gimme even without him any team with Gsrrity, Barker & Wright will always stand a chance.
  2. When i saw the title of the thread i thought Redcar had 3.5 riders missing but it is only 3. But i sympathise wholeheartedly with the Bears, if it was us in the same position i would be less than happy also.
  3. Wasn't aware Perks would be missing how did you hear about this, as far as I am aware Dan riding Thursday and Sunday , albeit we have put the start time back on Sunday to allow both Dan & Richie time to get back.
  4. Replace Sedgeman before he does a Wolbert then.
  5. If you replace more than one rider though you can only build to the points limit . If you replace only 1 it is up to the rider being replaced average. It may still fit as I don't know what there averages are/ will be , come to think of it I don't think I know what anyone's average is.
  6. Aye the tone has dropped somewhat , and I've not even posted .
  7. Crowd was visibly lower 2 weeks ago , whilst you can never say for certain why it was lower lack of home meeting continuity won't be helping
  8. He moved to Glasgow because of Bell Vue and Edinburgh racing on a Friday and he already stated that. Wether it attracts the riders you would need to ask them I couldn't say for fact that stadium investment is what initially attracted them or not. This Hits the Nail on the head it is a business they operate and they are extremely good at it. But as with every business it has to be profitable or at least not loss making.
  9. For the record the finances the Facennas invested went on stadium improvements fact. What the team budget is nobody knows so I can't see how anyone can claim they know how much the budget is may be more who knows , I certainly don't.
  10. Ffs my tongue was firmly in my cheek and this s*it gets posted people get too serious on here.
  11. Five years i would hazard a guess at. But you are correct covers should be looked at. So just to digest 1. We are 5 years behind Berwick in poly foam fence 2. We are 5 years behind Berwick track covers 3. We are 5 years in front of Berwick at speedway Don't think i have missed anything.
  12. I am almost 100% sure The Scotsman will be over the moon that Pickering is guesting for his second team Peterborough. On second thoughts it may only be 99%.
  13. Keep the covers off whilst its raining worked for us. Seriously though you are not getting any luck at all except the bad kind.
  14. As i say it has been Glorious all week up here but the rain around the North of Glasgow has been very heavy and has flooded the surrounding roads , sods law really and nothing you can do about it. Just means that it has been weeks since i took in a meeting , it is going to be the usual end off season scramble to fit meetings in I'm afraid.
  15. Your at the wind up surely , what part of Glasgow are you at presently?.
  16. Would make no difference I'm up here just now and it's still raining with no prospect of going off any time soon. With so few meetings at home and gaps between meetings some people will just get fed up and do something else on a Saturday 3 weeks per home meeting is not good for business. The weather has been glorious all week until we get to speedway day then same old same old with the weather.
  17. Maybe wise as i had no sooner posted it is now really heavy rain and has been for the last 20 mins.
  18. Weather overcast but still dry and very humid , forecast has changed from last night as it is forecast for showers later rather than thunderstorms.
  19. His turbo rocket fuelled vehicle has clearly not got him up to Glasgow faster than the speed of light to witness Ostergaard ride Ashfield , he invariably is not as good as a second string. As i say think it will be closer now Bomber is in the team but i still expect Glasgow to win by around 8 - 10 points.
  20. I have alway's said if the away team whinges about track conditions then tough adapt to it , nothing worse than seeing away teams moaning about the track being to heavy as the home team ride into the sunset. if they can't or won't ride in all track conditions then perhaps they are in the wrong job , some riders are pampered to the extreme.
  21. Well a track to suit the home team this may catch on . Now i have never been known to stick up for the other mob along the M8 in-fact this may be a first but surely all tracks are if possible prepared to suit all home teams. It is then up to the away team to adapt to the track and try better not bitch about it after the fact.
  22. Always look forward to see Bomber ride at Ashfield, our top 3 should hold there own against him though. Glasgow to win but closer with Bomber riding , forecast for thundery showers later so with a bit of luck the worst of these will bypass Ashfield.
