If this is indeed the case then it does go some way to explain the bravado attitude to other clubs wanting to sign riders which to a degree i can understand but there is only so far you can push things before it could go Pete Tong for him.
-
Maybe so but we won't pay 25k for him in-fact i would be disappointed if we succumbed to Havelock's demands and paid anything at all but this will go to arbitration to sort out were they will set any fee to be paid Certainly putting some noses out off joint is Mr Havelock firstly with Kus & Berwick and Now Summers with us makes you wonder if Kus really wanted to go back to Berwick who told him that they couldn't afford the 21k Havelock was demanding and was afraid off not having a team place at all. Summers it seems is more stubborn it appears and has refused to back down to Havelock's tactics. Dangerous ploy to play by both but as i have said before other clubs will be observing how this pan's out and this may well come back to bite Havelock in the erse.

Hit the nail firmly on the head there pretty sure something else will crop up to fuel there fire.

It appears it has now went full circle from offering silly money to illegally approaching riders only in Speedway we are looking like we have a good team on paper anyway and the Stadium is being revamped but some not all but some would rather focus on negative tittle tattle based on what they think it then grows arms & legs and we then find ourselves were we are now. I would rather focus on the positve with our new owners and deal in only what we actually know it does make you wonder why & where the jealousy against certain clubs start Edinburgh get it year in year out but i guess that is because they generally win most years . Don't get why we are getting it in the neck as Heather has said it does get pretty tiresome

If is the key word nobody really know's for sure we are just guessing this or that happened what i am saying for what we do know for certain. Glasgow have shown an interest in Summers Havelock has rightly told him if you want a move submit a transfer request We rightly are baulking at Havelock's excessive demands for Summers yes it is unfortunate that the rider appears to be caught in the middle but at the end off the day it isn't the first time and it won't be the last time that a rider finds himself out off work at the start off the season As far as the illegal approach goes who & where is this actually come from i would like to think we didn't but let's be brutally honest here we are all not naive enough to think this practice doesn't happen on a regular basis. Unless the Demand by Havelock is dropped from the quoted 25k then i am pretty sure we will just not pay that and if it means that Summers won't be moving to Glasgow then as much as i feel for him it won't happen for 25k IMO. Nobody really knows for sure Shads people are putting the 2+2 = 5 theory into practice just because we are interested in signing him, the only people that really know what is happening are Glasgow Redcar & the rider himself the way it should be. They might be new owners off the Club but have experienced Promoters on board assisting them in Stewart Dickson & Alan Dick and knowing both these two i would be very surprised that the proposed dealing's with Redcar haven't been done by the book.
-
Why pay a fee on a full transfer when we don't have to i am not so sure that the Summers deal is as cut & dried as some would think, I would hope there are other options being explored and it would make sense at least financially not to pursue Summers with there being options.
-
Exactly the way i see it
-
Plenty still out there Manse Piper Harrison Both from last years team that could do a job Anders Mellgren Pontus Aspgren Kauko Nieminen You could probably come up with another half dozen or so that could do a job

Hardly leaving Glasgow out to dry though is it we just move on and sign another rider if Havvy wants to play hardball shame for Summers but if he has potential EL spot then at least it is something and Havvy get's a loan fee. Way i see it if Havvy wants to spit the Dummy continually as he did with Berwick on Kus and as he is now with us on Summers then sooner or later the what goes round saying comes into play and other clubs will A, Not want to deal with him at all B. Deal with him but playing hardball as he is He needs to be careful on how he does thing's and how he deals with other clubs now or it may come back to bite him in the future as other clubs will also be taking note , The my way or no way attitude is not how to do it IMO . And that is 12k too much we or nobody else should be paying anything for free agent's and as MD has said it only takes one rider or club to challenge this prehistoric assets system and it blows it out the water.

Same to yourself Mr B have a great day.
-
Actually i would have thought 6.20 is more realistic don't want to aim too high in case his new machinery turns out to be how will we say this a FLYMO.
-
Maybe Mr B can confirm but i have heard Wolbert has invested in new machinery and expects to improve his average to 6.20 this season , is this true and was he really taking the P+ss at us last season because he only had a flymo anything in this Blobby your'e the man in the know after all.
-
Nothing too see here now move along bottom line the ball is in our court we want Summers we pay if we feel that it is not worth the amount being asked then we don't and we look elsewhere not really rocket science is it. Whilst it may be a shame for Summers if we end up pursuing another option then i am pretty sure he will get a place sooner or later somewhere, My guess will be that Havvy snr will be easier to deal with if it is another club other than Glasgow as his nose is well and truly dis-placed with us which is understandable Reality is we will do what is right for Glasgow and nobody else wether that be Redcar, BSPA or Mr Blobby our opinion on thing's is the only one that matters to me all else is hearsay and irrelevant.

A very sombre Merry Christmas to all my fellow Tiggeratti in another devastating time for our great City my thoughts to all the families hurting right now. Merry Christmas to speedway supporters everywhere have a good one .
-
Couldn't run that by me again could you .
-
We shall see thought you were one off us anyway but just had the misfortune to live through in Scotland's second city.
-
Have a good one m8 enjoy the festive period as it will be downhill for your beloved Monarchs come April when the real Tigers make a return to being rightfully Scotland's number 1 .
-
Reading some post's on Easy Tiger looks like there isn't much left off Ashfield as we knew it hopefully start the rebuilding process soon and the weather is kind for that to happen sounds good .
-
Your'e keen kept your attention for 200 im guessing 2 for me but never got the pleasure of viewing them.
-
Well at least he wasn't banging Jason Doyle he would definetly have got more than banned for that .
-
Now that is not a smug post that is really smug post. What the Monarchs are a thing off amusement ?.
-
Thats all fair & well but if you are riding sh*te on shi*e machinery there is no one else to blame except himself he was brought in as the number 1 not a reserve so number 1 points were expected i don't buy into this at all he is basically to inconsistent as we keep hearing he is on a 6 point average for a reason. I hope his performances do improve but i am not sure they will he really is an enigma.
-
There seems to be a few to willing to knock him for lack off ambition but as i say he is happy were he rides at both levels and i am sure when he is ready to progress he will but only when he feels he is ready. He should be praised on the way he is doing thing's and on how far he already has come.
-
Lack off ambition maybe but remember he was a late starter as far as speedway was concerned and what he has achieved in a short space off time is to be congratulated for a british rider who is to say he won't progress further at his pace. Anyway he seems very happy at Edinburgh and if you are happy in your place off work why would you want to move until you are ready fair play to him i certainly enjoy his visits to Ashfield.
-
He is capable but wether he will is up for debate thing about Wolbert is you don't know what you are getting from him from one minute to the next far too inconsistent and his machinery was in general poor but on the average he is on it technically shouldn't fall any further but never count your chickens with him.
