  1. No, It was much bigger than that. A cup semi-final 2nd leg is miles more important than a standard league match.
  2. You look at the Panthers middle-order and find me a weakness. Blackbird Bellego Oostergaard Bjerre Those four will rack up 45+ points tonight If you take into account the R/R rides for Fisher. Bjerre and Ulrich scored 11 each last time and the Panthers were let down by Dryml and Blackbird but this time around; Blackbird has sussed Derwent Park and Bellego is a Derwent Park track specialist. Prediction: Workington Comets 41-49 Peterborough Panthers WEMBLEY, WEMBLEY.. Panthers march into the cup final.
  3. There isn't much going on in Kings Lynn so It's no suprise they get good crowds, Coventry is the same and the lack of night-life is apparent but the biggest factor is disposable income. Lynn is home to a lot of the middle-class farmers while Peterborough for example has a migrant population of 73% and these migrants are often in low income jobs.
  4. I'm told Rick Frost was at the Showground a couple of weeks ago and It wasn't just to watch the speedway.
  5. Michael looking very good, will be surprised If he drops any more points tonight.
  6. Get rid of Dryml and bring in Dakota North. Dak isn't riding in Poland at the moment so he's looking for more meetings.
  7. Bellego has performed well at Workington, certainly stronger than Fisher.
  8. Nicki Pedersen and Linus Sundstrom were very good for Peterborough.
  9. The average age of a speedway fan is rising, It's only a matter of time that these older people have to start cutting back on finances and speedway hasn't tackled the issue of attracting young people to the sport and this is down to many reasons but the major ones revolve around value for money. Me and Laura (GF) attended a speedway meeting last month and It cost us £75 in terms of travel, tickets and a bit to eat and quite simply, for 16,17 and 18 year olds; there isn't the level of disposable income to justify this and the value for money argument is a big one; 15 races spread out over 2 hours usually in the freezing climate isn't great value for money. I recently attended a Kasabian concert and It cost me and Laura £85 for the night out but we got full value for money, Around 2 hours of pure concentrated music and there wasn't a 5 minute gap between each song. My solution is to get rid of the star riders, Price speedway at £5 for Adults and £1 for Under 18's, most of the general public don't even know who these star riders are.
  10. Horton needs to sort out his priorities, Peterborough speedway will have a stadium in 3 years and doesn't need capital investment of millions for a new stadium, He needs to look at the long-term project. Currently, he's prioritizing Coventry and this is short-term thinking.
  11. Stead and Bridger in the squad ahead of Blackbird. What a bleeding joke, tried and tested proven failures over somebody who's jumped onto the scene?
  12. Panthers look very strong, even without a Number 1. I'm going for 54-39 to the Panthers and all 3 points.
  13. I'm pretty happy with the side as It is, especially with Nicki in at reserve so I would release Oliver Greenwood sadly. 1. 2.Blackbird 3.Dryml 4.Ulrich 5.Bjerre 6.Jacobs 7.Barrett Just need to get Fish firing, Then we would have 5 Number 1's in our Top 5.
  14. Extremely pleasing performance, The Panthers will only get stronger with a firing Fisher and Ales Dryml while the Monarchs will have Worrall out of the reserve positions. I'm extremely confident about beating Edinburgh over 2 legs.
  15. Will be a tough task for the Panthers without Dryml and potentially Lasse? 1. Fisher 2. Blackbird 3. Dryml R/R 4. Ulrich 5. Lasse? 6. Barrett 7. Jacobs If Lasse's not fit then I would opt for Kevin Wolbert; I feel we have too much for Edinburgh and It will be a close fixture but we will come out on top due to our superior mentality so I'm going for a 41-49 Panthers away win. Blackbird, Fisher, Ulrich and Lasse are all genuine PL number 1's.
  16. You will see tonight why the Panthers have the best Top 5.
  17. MJJ hasn't qualified for the GP qualifiers next round so that's a big bonus for the Bee's.
