What exactly does "Ipswich Speedway Promotions Limited" own? I assume they don't own the track and they don't own the riders. So what exactly is somebody buying?

Peterborough Panthers 2023
LagutaRacingFan replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/other-sport/peterborough-panthers-set-to-look-for-new-home-in-the-city-as-the-battle-for-survival-continues-5428621 I feel like this is the end of the road. The chances of building a new speedway track in Peterborough are close to zero, especially in the current economic climate. Very sad. -
What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
LagutaRacingFan replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The only reason Championship clubs get away with paying riders peanuts, is because the Premiership pays them proper money. With no Premiership, riders will be very unhappy! -

How is that fair on riders? If there is one big league, then contracts will need to be negotiated again. I'm not sure why Championship clubs are signing riders when the rules are not set yet. -

The Budget has announced a whooping 4.80% increase in the State Pension. That means clubs should be able to increase admission prices, as pensioners have more disposable income. -
That's nonsense. In the NFL, the team with the best record skips a round in the play-offs. You don't hear their owners moan about a gate being lost.

Loads of other things to do in Manchester on a Friday and Saturday night. You would be lucky to get 300. -

Really worrying times for our sport. I also don't see how Belle Vue is viable in a watered down league. The fixed costs of running the stadium will not support a crowd of 500. -
Peterborough Panthers 2023

If the Panthers came back, season ticket demand would be ridiculous. The new promotion would get the money upfront. -
Peterborough Panthers 2023

I am sure the BSPA could arrange the fixtures in a way that meant the Panthers first 8-10 matches were all away from the Showground. This would give the Panthers additional time to fix the track. -

You just need to get the track ready for the start of the season. The seats and the center circle can wait. It would probably take 8-10 weeks to get the track ready, especially if we fly over some of the top Polish equipment. -

When has running clubs at other tracks ever worked? Peterborough running at Kings Lynn would not attract more than 200 people. Kings Lynn is too far from Peterborough. -

That's what Carl Johnson said on the podcast. But he also said Peterborough are not in a position to join the league yet, as we don't have a track. -

If the Panthers run, I wouldn't be surprised to see Laguta back in British Speedway. He really enjoyed his time at Peterborough. -

My interpretation of that statement is that it is a negotiating tactic. They clearly want more money to host speedway again. Sounds like the door is open for speedway. The Panthers need somebody with financial backing. -

How much is it going to cost to bring the Showground back? I get the feeling that you wouldn't get much change from £100,000. And how long would it take? -

Emil and Artem would have wiped the floor. A real shame Russia were not invited.
