  1. You will be able to share the track at Swindon
  2. More boring than F1 but that is because F1 does not have one person running away with the title. F1 has been more boring in the past when the result was known after the first couple of laps. The electric version would be better with longer lasting batteries and they need to be able to overtake more often. It seems to be very follow the leader. I am not sure if the lack of overtaking is down to the battery use or the width of most of the tracks, have they run one on a normal racing circuit yet? I agree with you that the development of the F1 cars is very expensive and that since the future will be either electric or hydrogen powered vehicles that they should be being developed and raced more often.
  3. Possibly but the formula E is boring, I started watching it but do not bother any more.
  4. That is down to the promoter to either control or allow. Talking of freeloaders you would be surprised how many wives, children and friends certain promoters bring with them to other clubs.
  5. Nick and Josh are back as heat leaders from 13th June with Justin and Rohan dropping back to 2 and 4, this should get us back to our winning ways just in time for Lakeside and Coventry.
  6. The electric bikes at the TT accelerate and go fast so they are possible but the lack of noise would be a complete turn off.
  7. They are not an asset, they could retire, get injured or go off and ride abroad instantly.
  8. I do think the EL could be on its last legs and I would not object to a larger PL, but can anyone see any common sense coming from the promoters or would the promoters of the current EL clubs cause chaos in any new organisation. Do not discount Swindons future yet.
  9. Swindon have usually done this and every club should do it when Sky is present.
  10. So why when he was voted in at the end of the meeting, by the way an arse about face way of doing things, did he not call for a reflection period and then call another meeting to sort out the rules that has just been voted in and even some of the other ill thought out ones.
  11. Doyle £ 30 more Kildemand £ 20 more Lindgren £ 20 more Pedersen £ 10 less
  12. Nothing broken apparently and he hopes to be back on his bike at the first opportunity. Luckily we have until June 16th before our next meeting.
  13. At the moment the use of public transport to get from town to the stadium is a joke. There are only two buses that go past the stadium at about 6 and 6.30pm, others go near during the day, but there is no public transport from or near the stadium back into the town after the meetings. The use of buses to the stadium is not a bad idea but could be costly for the club if not many use them. They have got to be cheap and cover different parts of the town if they want to encourage car users to switch. In fact public transport could be an advantage in getting youngsters to the meetings, something they cannot do at the moment unless they either walk t the stadium or get a lift from their parents. One of the problems with the Council is their continual thoughts that people will use public transport, while the prices are high they will not. Just look at the cock ups they made with the park and ride schemes, they cost a fortune to set up and apart from very few people that now use the one at Wroughton, the other one in Cricklade Road and others proposed have been closed or cancelled. We have the same with the hospital, these same idiots in the Council wanted and claimed people would go there by public transport but they keep the bus prices high and then they wonder why people drive. In many cities throughout Europe public transport is very cheap and people use it in there thousands.
  14. Since sky seem to have dictated the day of the meeting are they putting up prize money etc for the event?.
  15. The trouble was that the burger Rohan picked up friday night was half his weight. He is not a big lad.
  16. Last heat decider as Josh won heat 14 and kept us in with a chance.
  17. He is injured, he strained his shoulder picking up a burger after last night meeting
  18. They will have eaten it all by then. Seriously if they want to search all the bags for food then they will always have delays, especially if everybody starts objecting and arguing the toss.
  19. For anyone not looking at speedway updates Rohan is being replaced as expected by r/r.
  20. It is being reported on twitter that the stewards are stopping people taking in food, they even took sweets off the posters children. If true this action will stop some people going.
  21. It is a shame we have had a blip this week, especially against that lot from Dorset, we should have won home and away.
  22. Yes, your trip to Leicester, so definitely no chance.
