Australian Gp Is Back
A ORLOV replied to Stats's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Looking at google maps about 540 KL north west of Melbourne and travelling time 6 hours -
That is what they usually do
-
So will clubs risk signing riders when whatever limit they come up with may not be ratified until Nov 3rd.

Or holding a sit in in the back straight bogs to stop anyone knocking them down

I wonder if they have gone to Rome to visit Shovler

Possibly off with Starman, he has also been missing recently

Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..

The current stadium, which cannot be demolished until the new one is ready to use, well that is what is in the planning agreement for the housing, but who knows what will happen. -

So TR is still saying that any issues should be resolved by the end of October and the builders are ready to go even though members of the Council have commented that the final planning consent will probably not be given in 2015. Has he never worked with the Councils before even if GI have sorted out the remaining issues asap, his timescale is very optimistic. http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2574 He has now admitted that we may be racing in the current stadium for a period, something that many fans have been castigated by him for mentioning. He has at least assured the fans that he is doing all he can to keep the Robins riding in 2016. -
Is this jolly taking place in Rugby or somewhere where it is warm ?

And as someone else posted a double header, one meeting in the current stadium, then a five min walk to the new one for the second meeting, remembering to dig up buckets of shale and take them from one track to the other. -

There is a report in the Adver today, pointing out that detailed planning details have still not been submitted to the Council and that it is unlikely that this will be agreed by the end of the year. The news of this delay is and has been obvious to many and as time has gone on that no way will the stadium be ready by the start of the next season, something that people have mentioned and been moaned at by TR and Rosco. Councillors and the MP have been and are chasing the planning info still required. I cannot drag the full report across but no doubt some one else can at some point. -
Looks like you may have to bring it back as we would not want a hole in the track like Poole.

Read what I posted back in Sept and even before that somewhere, and TR and even on Sunday Rosco wonder and complain about fans questioning a build and move to a new stadium in the timescale mentioned and what is happening. This plan B was known about ages ago by some, TR should have explained this back up option to the fans. What a coincidence that this report comes out 2 days after this end of era meeting, now that was a surprise!. What will be interesting will be where any fans are going to park at the start of the season as the existing car park will be built on and the new one is much smaller.

Management seem confident http://www.swindonrobins.co/homepage -
Knowing that he would want to visit and ride in both countries you would have thought he would have it.

There was quite a large crowd at the stadium, more than I thought there would be. It was a shame that 4 of the Robins were not there as 3 were riding at Glasgow and 1 in Poland. Many people mentioned that they enjoyed the youngsters on the training track for their championship and why had we not had more of these meetings. It was good to meet many of the older riders returning to the stadium, quite a few of which I saw racing in their day. The main meeting was not outstanding, due to the lack of Swindon riders, but it did have a few good races, and I thought that Sam Masters was the best rider on the night. The engines that Sam Ermolenko showed in the three races at the end looked to be a good, cheaper option, and apart from one bike that was slower than the others the racing was ok. It was also fitting when Rosco lept on a bike and rode a couple of laps at the end of the meeting. The speaker system where I was was not great and I missed many of the comments by Rosco and the riders, hopefully they will have a decent sound system in the new stadium. It will also be an improvement if the new design can somehow eliminate the cold winds.

Greyhounds are continuing, as is the market behind the stadium. The carpark next to the turn styles and behind the stadium is being closed shortly so that building in this area, which includes the location of the new stadium, can take place. Parking for the dogs and market will be the present carpark on the right of the entrance to the stadium where they have motorbike training now.

D Watt will not be at the meeting due to an accident at Rye House tonight, it is reported that he is in hospital but have no idea of extent of injury. Hope it is not too bad.
-
Having his hair done ready for the GP in Aus also does not want to risk an injury at this which may hamper his riding in the GP.
-
He went to visit Jerran Hart and they kept him in.

I did mention that Peter had a meeting abroad on his schedule, about a week ago, which is still on his schedule and he is in the line up on Sun, so not sure what is going on.
