  1. Would have no problem if Aaron was signed for 2016, he put in some good results, even against heat leaders.
  2. Completely agree with this bit of your post. Hopefully we will also have a new one at Swindon.
  3. Some do not even post in basic English, one from Poole comes to mind.
  4. Or the Robins could ride at Poole on a thurs so that those on the south coast could see a decent team
  5. Does anyone on here go to the dog meetings or know a dog owner who has a dog kenneled at Blunsdon, if yes it might be worth asking them what they have been told about the kennel arrangements and scheduled meetings after Oct. Have they been told there dogs will have be moved. What was mentioned previously is that the BAGS dog contract must not stop, which is why the stadium cannot be knocked down until the new one is ready unless they move those meetings to another track. The speedway equipment is removed and stored away every winter. Buzz there is a fan club but they are probably fed the same info as every body else.
  6. That is what is in the planning conditions Sidney but inorder to build the new one the existing track will need to be shortened and cannot be knocked down until the new one is up and running. But the big question seems to be that many do not trust the owners of the present stadium to stick to these conditions as they have a record of not doing what they say they will do and shutting tracks.
  7. It seems to be the case that haydon hat passes the stadium quite often, no doubt he will report on here as and when any work starts. There is also the Blunsdon Blog on the Swindon Speedway page who may also put out pictures and news etc.
  8. Yes and other sports under the grandstand. The speedway will still be a tenant of the greyhound organisation.
  9. Looking at the reply from Justin where he comments that certain info is yet to be received and a build of 8 months, not the 4 stated by the management, this time scale is of concern unless the club is happy to ride on a track with the building continuing around it. The start date is expected to be November but there are still a few issues to be sorted out and accepted by the Council, and we all know how fast they work. Will we be racing at the present stadium in March and then switch?.
  10. Would agree that Killer just needs to calm down a bit, if he stays on his bike he can beat many and he is still improving. Anyway if he was not signed I would have to change my picture again. He was really gutted last night at coming off and he started the demolition of the changing room door after he came off, he has also apologised to the fans on twitter, something not seen from Troy. Troy was awful last night and after a few heats I even stopped filling in the prog. His ride in heat 1 told me what to expect from him for the rest of the night and it turned out to be correct. The rest of the team did well after the track settled down, especially Nick, Charles and Zengi. I would be happy to have those three back in the team next year along side Jason Doyle. I would also agree with others that have said that the two semis should be on separate nights as the meeting was stop and start and in the cold it was not enjoyable.
  11. Sun now out, for those from BV the round yellow thing in the sky, and cloud clearing.
  12. Yes it has been raining for a couple of hours but the rain has not been heavy.
  13. Did not realise that as the last race has usually been 6ish, a 2pm finish is good news.
  14. Just started raining and forecast to continue till 3pm, not sure how much it will rain, but with dog racing on they will not have much time to work on the track if the rain is heavy. Will need to keep an eye on twitter etc. I hope they do not run the meeting if the track is awful just to keep sky happy, it would be better to run it on thursday. If the track is ok I hope that a lot of Robins fans get behind the team. 14 points is a hell of a lot to get back but not impossible providing Troy has a decent heat 1 result and the heat leaders up their game from recent meetings.
  15. Well done Ozrik. Will look forward to comp next year R&R even though my bets were rubbish.
  16. The speedway only leases the track from the greyhound organisation and unless it has a contract to run for a few years has no clout what so ever to cut some kind of deal. It would be the greyhound organisation who might set up a deal. Even if it has a contract for a few years it is unlikely to be able to claim any worthwhile compensation, as that is usually based on loss of profit, and all the clubs claim to make a loss.
  17. The building or occupation of the houses is the trigger point for the stadium. They will not stop building the houses they have started, and make a decision as to how many more they build that cannot be occupied until their conditions have been met. What I am not sure about is if the change in the planning permission to build more houses than originally allowed and less light industrial units next to the stadium has been granted yet.
  18. Swindon first and Kings Lynn second as lived there for a few years, hope that is ok.
  19. They may have to revert to plan B and shorten the existing track so that the new one can be built across the corner of bend 1, as the plan was that dog racing has to continue and they can only demolish the existing one when the new one is ready.
