  1. Brady Kurtz was sensational, shame he's going to riding for Poole for years and years. I enjoyed the meeting, and well done Panthers promotion for their efforts in bringing in NEW fans. Some 'regulars' need to understand that their support is not enough for a speedway team survive, Panthers fans above all should appreciate this. There simply aren't enough regulars anymore. The bare minimum a promotion should do is produce a team/meeting which satisfies its hardcore fans but they need to focus their attention on gaining new fans in order to prosper.
  2. Panthers fans should turn up in their droves to catch a glimpse of Robert Lambert this season as the amount of stick he's had off some this season means it's unlikely he'll be riding in the lower leagues next season, especially now he is being signed up to ride in Sweden. It'll be Denmark next, then Poland... Looking forward to tonight, great entertainment whenever I've been to the EOES this season.
  3. Pedersen's move was no worse than Sundstom's in the SWC, it was a hard move, perhaps too hard, but its the sort of move that happens quite often. That isn't a defence of Nicki's action it's just a statement to express that what Pedersen did wasn't that unusual. What was unusual was the reaction of Hancock. Unbelievable! It was like years and years of anger just exploded. Small fine for both riders and then move on. Bring on Cardiff!!!!
  4. I agree, I wasn't implying he was rash (like Garrity sometimes), merely he never gives up on 'lost' causes. His ride last night when he went from 3rd to 1st was textbook in this regard. Maybe in time he'll get wise and know when not to try and chase down everything, but for the time being, I'm just going to enjoy watching him go for it all!
  5. A tad harsh no?!? They will improve the more experience he has of riding different tracks. In a few seasons, he'll be frightening. The thing I like about him is you can tell he loves racing. Always tries to catch/pass the man in front. Such youthful exuberance should be encouraged at every opportunity. He is the most exciting prospect in the EL.
  6. I think you may be missing the point no? I think his form will improve once he gets his sub 7.00 average........
  7. That was the only mistake Holder made all night, Lambert did well to capitalise on it! 'Ruthless' indeed!
  8. I've been at Leicester when there's a sun delay and there really isn't much you can do. Just have a beer, and have a chat to fellow speedway fans which isn't all that bad! Back to last night, I was glad to see Morris buzzing after his first race win in what seemed like ages. He'll get time and support at our place which can only benefit young riders. And the roar when Lambert dived up the inside of 2012 World Champion Chris Holder was awesome : )
  9. WHAT A MEETING. Best one of the year for me, in front of a decent size crowd too. A lot of talk about people staying away due to the 'weakened team' but it didn't look like it. A few fans from Poole too which is always nice to see as well. Not much you can do about the Sun really, a giant adrian flux advertising hoarding maybe? So happy with how the everyone stepped up tonight, some really great speedway and some really tough first corners too which Niels and Nicklas both were on the wrong end of but carried on battling none the less. Porsing looked on the pace last night which was good to see.
  10. I don't think anyone (outside of Dorset) would give a monkey if Matt Ford lost £15,000 to be honest. The difference with King's Lynn is that there was never a thought to cancel tonight's meeting.
  11. I see on twitter that there is a collection tonight for Rory. Let's dig deep and spare whatever we can to support our injured skipper and his family through this difficult time. Well done the club for organizing.
  12. We'll get the meeting on, we'll get a team out, and we'll have a go. Like a proper speedway team. The fans will turn up in their numbers, to cheer on whoever is riding, like proper fans. And we'll probably lose too but we'll try our best and put on an entertaining show. TBH, I don't care too much about the result to be honest, I am much happier seeing the news on twitter that our skipper is already on his feet albeit in what looks like a pretty heavy duty back brace. Inspirational stuff Rooboy.
  13. His facebook page. The photo looks pretty bad and it's his clutch hand. In the interests of speedway, this needs to be called off.
  14. Looks like Kenneth Bjerre is out too now. #PRAYFORRAIN
  15. Kenneth would replace Niels Rory replace Kenneth Robert replaces Rory Nicklas replaces Robert Lewis replaces Nicklas Ash replaces Lewis Tom Stokes steps up to cover Ash. Yes the team is weaker, but THAT SHOULD DISSUADE TEAMS FROM TRYING TO FIDDLE THE SYSTEM. In the rare occasions when someone misses a flight, or is genuinely sick, then maybe the remaining riders will step up to see if they can cover him? I'd still turn up to see my weakened team of underdogs try?!? Gives a young local lad a chance too.
  16. Don't teams have a number 8? If so, just pop them in at reserve and bump up everyone the order, it's not hard. "Oh no that might mean that a second string has to ride as 3rd heat leader" Big deal, that's the rub, I'm pretty sure a plucky second string rider like Chris Holder or Davey Watt or Peter Karlsson could step up........ : )
  17. Wet track undoubtedly helped the visiting Stars. With no Fred and an out of sorts Blackbird, it was a good time to race Wolves it seems. Worrall as well, what a guest booking. Bravo Rob and Buster. 4 away points are always welcome though, in any circumstances. Maybe the situation at Gorzow is affecting him? From them being 2014 Champions to starting the season with 4 consecutive defeats, well it would seem that the pressure is on over in Poland. That said, when we needed him last night, he banged in a big heat 13 win to clinch an away win for us.
  18. Wonderful work! Your effort is appreciated. Nice to see how the top two teams from last season still managed somehow to get the best performing reserves again this season. Everyone knew the seeding system was a joke, this kind of proves it for me.
  19. Would rather this get re-scheduled for when both team are at full strength. And that I can make it which I can't tonight due to work commitments. Hope Lewis gets rested up, he's VITAL for us. Why has Danny King pulled out anyway?
  20. Just the usual comment from first time visitors to Leicester, cracking set up, shame about the track. I said the same thing. Thing is, the racing at Leicester on BHM was the best I have seen there - maybe the rain made the track better?!?
  21. Nope, only 27% of Lewis Kerr's rides this season have ended in a heat adv. for the Stars. And this is after he has won 15 out of his 52 rides.
  22. Lambert was ill last night, give him a break. His ride in heat 9 was sensational, he is such a talent, Panthers and Stars are lucky to have him.
  23. Porsing's average is too high for the PL isn't it? I understand you have to be less than 6.00 no? Yes, yes, before anyone says it, he may well be sub-6 av. if his current form continues. If Lambert is anything to go by, then PL experience does the world of good!
  24. Not a great night again for Porsing, but questioning his commitment for riding in the UK is a little odd especially as the young lad has completely re-located himself to the UK?!? He’s going through a rough patch, but with the majority of the team firing, we are in a fortunate position this early in the season in which we can carry him a bit until he builds his form/confidence back up. Give him, and Morris some time, we are only in May, we are looking good for the playoffs, let’s hold it steady…..
  25. Lewis Kerr is arguably the best FTD rider, anyone want to guess what % of his heats result in heat advantage for King's Lynn?
