  1. Opinions are opinions but again cant see how Josh G isnt getting any better , had his best season last season as , apart from Cook was the best rider in the championshup and stepped up and averaged over 7 as a number one in the Premieeship. Had his best season in the UK by some distance
  2. Josh G was one place below Musielek in the final averages last season having rode at number one all season in a struggling team compared to Musielak riding half the season as a second string for the title winners so fail to see how thats a no contest. Also Woryna over Ellis , you have to be joking surely. As I have already said, IF Shanes and someone like Sundstrom is the final signing this side will take some stopping IMO. Can you imagine Holder gets back to somewhere near his best, Sundstrom signs (he will average 8 in this league no question), Kurtz carries on improving, Woryna brings even half of his Polish form to Poole and the other Pole even just holds his average... lots of ifs but they look more than likely to happen. This Poole side is head and shoulders above the rest and anyone who thinks otherwise is either anti Poole, thick or both.
  3. Has there been official confirmation of why Vaculik is 8.00 yet other GP riders with previous averages have been reassessed to 9.00?
  4. He had beeen at Poole for about five years, picked up good sponsorship and had barely improved whilst underperforming last year. He had been given plenty of time by Poole, imo. the touted BV team really looks as if its been built to win all home meetings and pick up the odd point away so cannot understand why they havent gone with jacobs who, whilst being poor away, banged in huge scores at home.
  5. Youd think THJ would be a shoe in at reserve on his average...
  6. He seems to of averaged 5.7 on the bspa site and is starting as a reserve for Workington so I would say 6 is easily acheiveable. he is a lot better than quite a few Aussies who have came over in the last 5-8 years in all fairness.
  7. Cant see why he wont have a higher average than Cook to be honest. Hes improving at a much faster pace, has a taste of being number one in the top flight and has a lot more potential.
  8. That is what I mean. Kurtz already has a taste of being the top rider in Pooles team and time at number one. Thorssell whilst potentially very good spent last season at number 4 all season with no pressure as Lindgren was number one, Cook was second heatleader for BV, Morris likewise for Swindon. Id fancy Kurtz to average more than Thorssel and Morris, definately more than Harris/Nicholls and wouldnt surprise me if he is higher than Cook and Vaculik too.
  9. Just a joke when people see a few Aussie results and try making it out as if thats how they will ride all season in the UK. Sedgmen is another who is superb in Aus then quite frankly pants in the UK. Brady Kurtz when announced as Pooles number one looked weak as people assumed the big guns would be flocking back to UK speedway, but they havent and now its becoming clearer that this top flight will be one of the weakest ever, BK is starting to look like one of the stronger number ones.
  10. Also does Holder sing the UK national anthem and have a union jack tatooed on his back?
  11. All you need is the team to hold their figures and for the expected 2-3 point improvement from Woryna and they look clear favourites to me. Thats assuming holder, andersen and shanes complete the team.
  12. Isnt Holder based in the UK most of the year now???
  13. What an absolute farce. Poland running away with it most years and looking like doing so for years on end so they change the format to even it up, what a joke. Instead of penalising Poland , other countries should pull their finger out and make up ground on them. Denmark havent been the same since Nielsen has been in charge, he has made some crazy decisions regarding team selections and should be bombed out and replaced. Being a legendary world champ doesnt mean your a good manager. A team of NKI, Pedersen, Kildemand and MJJ/Madsen/Bjerre should still be capable of mixing it with Poland. Riders have hardly heaped praise on Nielsen so he must be doing something wrong.
  14. Sounds like you had a wild holiday, all the way to the Phillipines to watch videos of Chris Mills and Aaron Fox. Couldnt you of saved some cash and done that in your living room?
  15. What is it with riders at Newcastle being involved in trouble with police? Haha Boxall, Grant, Scotty Smith, Pedersen, anymore?
  16. Cook hasnt ridden at #1 before and Vaculik could well not like the smaller UK tracks, thats if he lasts a season! Kurtz has improved year on year and see no reason why he wont continue to do so in 2018.
  17. And whilst I am at it, if Poole finish off with Holder, Andersen and Shanes then they look by far the team to beat and better than any of these rumoured Belle Vue teams. Kurtz, Holder, Andersen, Josh G, Scznepiak (sp), Woryna and Shanes looks extremely strong even if the two Poles rode to their average... this side will rack up some huge wins if, as expected, the Poles make mockerys of their starting average. *thats assuming that Poole sign these 7.
  18. Kurtz may look a weak number one on paper but there arent many strong ones on paper either imo. with his rapid improvement he could actually go on to be top 3 in the averages, who else do you have apart from Doyle as a proven number one in this league? Morris? Thorsell? Cook? Vaculik could find life a nightmare in the UK and be a flop. Lynn havent got a number one. He has a higher average than Nicholls and Harris who are both on their way down. To me it looks as though Kurtz, as it stands, could quite easily be second or third in the averages by the end of the season. Id be stunned if first time number ones in Morris, Cook, Thorsell and Vaculik average more than him to be honest but I guess we will see.
  19. Going by your assessment that means Poole would be better off with Tungate or Pickering at number one rather than Kurtz?! the Aussie champs are now quite frankly just something for the younger Aussies to do to waste time during the off season, none of the top Aussies bother with it anymore (Doyle, C Holder, Batchelor etc). judging riders on these meetings is rather silly. Didnt Davey Watt finish in the top 3 last season, how did his UK season go?
  20. What an awful Aussie champs line up compared to previous years. Quite sad to see. isnt Matt Gilmore under the wing of Craig Watson?
  21. Could be similar to anders henriksson at newport , a fellow swede who was superb at home and pretty poor away riding at numbers 3/4, once Watson left he was thrown in at number one and in his final season with Newport he ended up as one of the top riders in the league with massively improved away performances. Cant see Thorsell struggling too much at 1 in this watered down league to be honest, but will have to see.
  22. Has to be said that I think Ford is losing interest in Poole and is just ticking over these days. Doesnt seem to want to spend the money on the club that he used to. Whether its because the rumours of the stadium closing in the near future are actually true or he has just lost interest altogether, who knows. But the past few seasons things havent been their usual self at Poole thats for sure.
  23. Same as you until Rye realised how crap your boy was and got rid.
  24. Doyle more than likely needs a UK visa to allow him to ride in Poland or something similar.
