I always cringe when clubs make such threats to the fans. Seen it at Newport with Mallett nearly every week begging for more fans through the gate and it honestly usually made the crowds for the next meeting worse. Clubs should be able to provide everything required to operate without making threats. An insult to the paying fans who have attended all season.

Throw in a cup final after knocking out the league champions elect as well and its no wonder the crowd was big. Fans dont care about the racing on the whole , they want to see their team win. Exeter were proof of this, great spectacle of a track with you being so close to the action but mainly gate and go, heavy home wins every week and they had good crowds right up until they shut despite usually being rubbish away from home.
