  1. George was great company off the track.Had a real good chat with him at the first ever GP in Wroclaw. After retiring he became a long distance lorry driver, based in the Midlands and doing runs onto the Continent.Unfortunately, although totally blameless,he was involved in the crash in which Peter Craven died.I am lucky enough to have been watching since the mid-sixties and love it when i bump into one of the old school. My dream is to win the lottery and fly to Aussie First class.I would take with me Eric Boocock,Colin Pratt and Neil Street. After a couple of drinks and two or three ditties you would be getting off at the other end before you know it !!!!
  2. saw one of his very first meetings in this country when he all but beat PC and Mort round the old Belle Vue.Saw him at Lonigo about 5 years ago.He hasnt changed one bit.Good place to spot riders of yesteryear, that Rhigetto geezer that rode at Eastbourne is always there
  3. why not go the whole hog and put in Jon-Jon White( the black knight)...and we all know what rhymes with Knight dont we....it begins in S and ends in te.Oh yes dont forget to save me a race-jacket, i once had a go on Pilling sands.Ian Hindle would like to throw his name in the hat....the list is endless.Get real,as much as i admire anyone who gives it a go on a speedway bike sticking Tom Brown in with Pedersen,Crump,Adams etc etc would totally devalue the product
  4. Mega Lada with Pedersen and Sullivan won at Balakovo. The home side included Nicholls and Jonsson
  5. VMS re-jig to include Richardson and Risager
  6. Scott Nicholls and Nicki Pedersen race at Balakovo on Thursday.I think im right in saying Scott has not ridden in Russia before ?
  7. Dave is on the plane to Stockholm now...but as the meeting starts at 4 his chances of actually riding are virtually nil.If he is not there for his first ride( and he is in heat one, gate 4 !!) then Kenneth Bjerre steps up.
  8. Dave is due to ride in tonights GP qualifier at Motala in Sweden. However he missed his connection in Amsterdam and now faces a fine for signing on late and may be even thrown out of the meeting.Hence the reason both Simon Stead and Rory Schlein were both missing for Coventry last night.Dave had only one chance to get there and this connection never works on a Saturday for some reason. Now booked on a flight to Stockholm but not a happy bunny !!!!!
  9. There is a very easy answer to all this...the riders, without whom there is no show, tell mr Allmighty Olsen that if this Polish bloke appears again then they wont even unload.Clearly the guy has no idea .If the riders stick together for once they will get some action
  10. Poland win with 60 odd....Aussies second with 47 and DO qualify for the final which i believe is in Denmark
  11. Crumpy did the meeting last year, but was never in the plans for 2007
  12. what are Tonys memories of his crash with Russ Hodgson at Hyde Road ???

  14. Auty was the British reserve, but its a bloody long way to go just to sit on your tool-box
  15. Kaj has been told he is required at Malilla on Saturday. Will miss Monarchs home fixture on Friday
  16. Defending World Champion Jason Crump spotted at Heathrow Airport NOW checking in for flight to Prague....looks like he will give it a go.Good luck Champ
  17. i dont see a need for change...but if there is to be one then Tim Sugar must be the man
  18. should be in the best pairs with Alun Rossiter..both are bad losers !!!!
  19. In a bid to generate even more speed trusted mechanic Ashley Holloway is flying back to Poland with 2 motors tomorrow and will return very early on Friday morning ready to test them at practise !!!
  20. Tony Steele is the ref at Penza ...and still awaits official word from the FIM as to if its on or not
