Glad Dudek beat MJJ, makes it a bit more competitive. -
Alright Sarcastic.... sorry I'm not glued to the thread.... he's had quite a few Ippo meetings mind, and whats stopping him doing second halfs or a few training days? Yes its not race fitness, but its time on track.

Guaranteed atleast a 2 man run off for the final space, but could be 3, come on Cooky, win the meeting. -
Yes he has had a bad injury and coming back, but obviously the come back hasn't gone as planned for both parties, how long do you give someone to come back to form? No doubt Kyle will be back next season for the pirates.

If Cook can get to 10, that should be plenty to qualify! -
Why what?

Dudek not racing then, hope he makes the top 8 in gps. -
Hold on.... Ford has one interest, that's the success of Poole Pirates, Matt has given Kyle a chance for quite a few seasons now, and this season Newman isn't performing, what is he meant to do? Yes loyalty is superb, and is a must, but Kyle isn't cutting the mustard, simple as.
-
Probably Panthers biggest test this season at home, Sheffield certainly pack a punch! Wont be many points in it, need Starke and BWD to pick up a smidge from last night, and hope the rest carry on as they finished against Scunny. Lets hope Hall can mix it up a bit as Shanes at reserve will score tonnes probably.... great! Line ups likely to be: Harris BWD Starke Ully Holder Hall Bacon Josh G Kurtz Lasse Bates Howarth Branford Shanes FFS! Think Shanes at reserve could swing it for the Tigers, but certainly tough to call!

Kyle top score was 6+2 from 5 I believe, hardly brilliant, I would expect him to improve on his current scoring, as its been pretty poor. You have to make changes for riders who are struggling for form, what does it say, oh don't worry..... we will keep you for the season even though your going to drop points on your average, as no point in replacing you? You have to make changes to keep others on there toes, simple as IMO.
-
Kyle hasn't even been scoring 6-7 for Poole though? He has scored that once, apart from that, 2-3 points..... so anything more than 4, and he has done better than Kyle.
-
I do see your point, I just don't agree with it. Starke had a poor start to the season, when Paul last rode for Poole, he was superb, currently it looks more likely Paul will improve and get better as the season gets on compared to Kyle, who continues to struggle. There was no need for the change, but there is also nothing to lose, and everything to gain IMO.
-
I agree, should of kept Kerr. There might be little to be gained, but there is also nothing to lose either IMO. I just think people should give Paul a break, he's been superb for the Panthers this season, upped his average and been the most consistent performer, well apart from Hansen who was constantly crap! He didn't perform for the Rebels, but sure he will be back firing soon.

Name a British rider who could replace Newman on his average and improve to the rate of Schlein for Skornicki say? Not possible, lets face it! Starke isn't a brilliant signing, but its certainly worth a punt, Paul will score similar to Kyle, and maybe a couple more. You can't expect to keep your team place riding crap all season, what message does it say to the other riders?
