  1. Agree, it's for debate, but there has been no new material for pages now! It's ok to follow for a laugh but that's about it. Yes that's what's been brought up before. Often a rider waits nervously as the call can go either way. Both Nicki and Chris wanted the call to go thier way. Nicki thought he was unlucky that it was all 4 back, Chris thought he was lucky. That's speedway, it can go either way. (Now how do people usual end these post's.... oh yes, ......end of...... simples.....these are the facts.
  2. I wouldn't have called Nicki a moron but he should have just walked past Chris. I wonder who will get the last say in this thread and will that make their opinion correct? Entertaining it is!
  3. Unfortunately for Nicki he bottled it in the rerun, blew his chance.
  4. There have been similar instances many times in speedway that have had more initial room into the corner that have been called 'all 4 back' With the importance of the meeting, the ref made the right decision. Nikki was only just in front and clamped heavily and Chris had so little time to react that the bunching incident occurred. I'm sure this one will be debated heavily but that's my view from what I have seen.
  5. Very sincere congratulations, Chris is not only a worthy winner, he will be a great ambassador for our sport!
  6. Would love Chris H to win but I think Nikki will handle the pressure better and win this one, he's too tough! Chris will win in the next few years barring injury. Whatever happens next week will be edge of the seat stuff. Bring it on.
  7. Chris, the permanent wildcard process is there for a reason, even if sometimes us supporters aren't told the full reasons why a rider can't always accept one.Just because you haven't been told these reason's, doesn't mean the rider in question shouldn't be in the series. I agree with you that there should always be a qualifier as well.
  8. Amazing rider. When he returned to Australia last break he still showed them how to get around the track, even Chris H! A pleasure to watch, hope he rides in uk next year. Good luck with whatever you do Jason.
  9. Hancock hasn't had a move that's seen another rider off down the straight that I've seen. Which are you referring to?
  10. Nicki P tries it on too often and refs start to go against him when the decision isn't clear cut. Entertains though!
  11. I'll buy you a beer as well. it;s gonna be a big night for you.Loved the NZ GP last year and will be back for it. The racing was average to good but the whole deal was brilliant. Let us know id you go.
  12. Definitely the worst of the sport when riders get injured. Will have to wait and see if any of the other Aussies step up, one meeting, particularly in poland, is not the best yardstick. Fortunes change, look how the poish senior team got rolled when not at home.
  13. BTW I think Chris H was fast because he's had a shave!
  14. really loved watching this one. Good to see Hans A getting into it. If people didn't like the racing then they're going to be sorely disappointed with speedway anywhere else! It was good to hear that Greg H offered Chris advice of gates after Greg was out of the running. Disappointing that the usual negative moaners on this forum try bring in downers on Poole , Middlo, Premier Leauge blah blah. when it's a GP thread. Congrats to Chris H, handled the track and his interviews extremely well.
  15. No, Chris' chain just failed, his steel shoe was below the primary cover when the failure occurred.
  16. I hadn't heard that Maciej Janowski had pulled out? If he's still riding MJJ may come second!
  17. Agree about the rule being a joke, but Nicki and Denmark are using the rules that have been put in place for all and came out on top. I think he can still hold his head high in this instance.
  18. Hope 4 a safe and competitive meeting...................and that the Aussie boys sneak top spot!
  19. could someone PM me a link for the final, it would be appreciated. RG
  20. I don't know if it is just the fact that he is a 3 time world champ, but Jason Crump seems to to be larger than life, even when not getting the results that have been expected of him at times.Great to see him in UK.
