  2. Always enjoy trips to stmp , i'm going for a 42-48 win for the Comets it wont be easy. i'm always hoping for the same Matej Kus I seen ride at dp last sat ;-) but no doubts a certain Bears reserve will rack up some points from 7 rides tonight.....
  3. Supporters bus setting off at 3pm so weather updates for will be great .thanks in advance
  4. We always seem to do well on our visits to stmp lets hope 2013 is no different, thoughts on this one folks? Should be plenty of Comets fans there bus load plus cars.
  5. What a nights Speedways miles better then last week, the racing tonight was top drawer All the Comets rode brillantly and done us proud. thnaks to Millsy who came in to ride at short notice and didnt dissapoint! Dyer was by far the best Bear on show and was involved in alot of the close racing. Matej Kus...... What has happened to that guy?? The only downside to the meeting for me was the lack of away support from the Redcar fans you lot used to brighten up our meetings with all your red banners and vocal support come back Bears fans you are missed!! All in all a enjoyable night
  6. Of course but just not enough to go and win at Redcar by the margin they did.
  7. I was surprised when I seen the score Redcar being beaten at home by Newcastle as I rated the Bears team so I don't know what to think now! However we do tend to get some strange results at the start of the new season? I'll go for around a 10 point win for the Comets. Always enjoy our meetings against Redcar heres a question how will Kus go...... 3 points or 13? we shall see! ;-)
  8. Welcome to Workington Chris Mills. allthe best!!!
  9. It was great to watch the racing last night track not great but it was a freezer of a night good win for the Comets. Howarth and rusty were our star men. sad that Tero got injured :-(

  11. More members and if possible an increase in noise at away tracks ;-)

  13. Allen and Steady will bring 2 big hitters to the PL, personally cant wait to see them against our lads.
  14. Well spotted looking at that many names i was sure to come unstuck;-)
  15. With the majority of the teams just about in place (Plymouth aside) whats everyones thoughts on how the Premier League is shaping up for 2013, who’s your stand out teams riders etc? Personally as they look now my top teams are: Newcastle- Although they are still waiting of their final signing they are looking a strong unit throughout, stranger things have happened but I cannot see them being pushed around their home track too many times this season. Definitely ones to watch Somerset- With Aussies Doyley, Moris and Grajczonek all riders who can impress at most tracks again another team to watch. It’ll be interesting to see how Nielsen performs as a few teams were talking of him at the end of this season, but his partner at reserve Tom Perry is sure to bag some points at reserve imo. Workington- I’m expecting a playoff position with Lawson improving every year along with Rene we should have a top 2 as good as most. I believe Roynon moving to Leicester was a spanner in the works but Aarnio on the right equipment and Rusty with his head in the game will fill out middle order nicely. Howarths going to shock I few this coming season to I think, Campton and Morris have plenty of potential and overall so I’m happy with our team. I only really wanted to choose 4 teams and it was a pick of Scunthorpe and Leicester until I had a good look at Berwick- who I must say are another team like Somerset without any real weak links, hopefully they only show them when visiting Derwent Park ;-) Robin Aspegren is a rider who will makes big strides this year. Ive no doubt upset a few people by not including their team in my top 4 but next year is set to be another beauty with lots of teams in contention, rolll on March!
  16. Well thats the team sorted hopefully Rusty makes up for last year he has the talent. Bring on March! and SUPPORT THE TEAM!
  17. oh no its the end of the world!!! cheer up your team isnt even complete yet!!!!
  18. Brilliant signing for Sheffield and the PL. will Sheffield once again be a team to be feared..... ???its certainly a good start for the Tigers. Look forward to watching him against Lawson and Bach at DP!!!
  19. Cant agree with this Richard imo is a modern day hero to the Workington Speedway hes stuck with his Comets team for years now and has improved every year top guy and top captain. Keep it up Richard :-):-)
