Yes I suggested similar the other day. But I agree with this, it deserves another go with a bit of tweaking.

But effectively Tai did nothing to manipulate that situation. It might not have worked, but he didn't try. The only defence for Tai is if Rosco had not fully explain the final scoring system. But despite him CLEARLY getting the tactics wrong in that final race, Tai deserves much, much credit for his work this week.

But surely as he did in an earlier race, had he held back and tried to clamp Emil down to give Robert a better chance. You've watched a lot of speedway, I am surprised you cant see that. Of course, easy for us armchair fans to make such observations, but if the same format is in place next year we need to learn from this.

He's been brilliant, but in that final he got the tactics wrong. Nothing wrong with saying that, doesn't take away from his brilliance all week.

I think tai's been superb all week, but I think he got that wrong in the final. Was he aware that we needed 2nd and 3rd? If so then he should have settled for second and tried to slow Emil. But otherwise, fair play to Tai for a superb tournament.

Had other manager stuck with Cook for a couple more rides then we may not be in the final. So actually, I am not talking rubbish., But then again you have shown time and time again you value nobody's opinion but your own.

Would other managers have made that early cool with Cook and Lambert? I don't think they would, so Rosco deserves credit for this win if it happens as much as Tai.

Despite what happens in the final, this event should be in the calendar every year.

Fair play to Cook, he could be sulking but he's there patting the boys off and cheering them back in. I think he deserves credit for that.

What a load of rubbish. Give the man some credit. As for Pearson commentating his usual shambolic performance. In that last race screaming Lingren had made a flyer when it was Lambert then shouting Team GB edging closer to a medal.. when in fact we have already secured a medal, with two rides left we cant drop out the top three now.

Brilliant by Tai and Robert. But a bit like test cricket, you can't win it on day one, but you can lose it. We haven't lost it, but we have not won it yet, all to do tomorrow but we have a really good chance.

He did superbly there, but no need for the sarcasm, in the previous race he didn't look at all until the very end (although doubt would have helped).

Fair play to Tai there, he team rode brilliantly there. Brilliant racing.

I accept the important thing was for Tai to win the race, but I don't think he looked once until the race was over. But maybe that was his instruction, I don't know.

Sorry Tai, but what's the point of looking over your shoulder after the final bend.

Wow that is shocking. It was proving into being one of the best race of the tournament so far (IMO). Fingers crossed all are ok.

Lots of critics, but I like the idea of this event. As others have said, we have seen some of the lesser nations get in and mix it with the big boys. So let's stop being critical and enjoy some fantastic racing tonight... (I am saying in hope).

Not sure it was decent, I never liked the individual aspect of the racing for a team event. I do like the idea of seeing which teams are real 'teams' on and off the track. Which riders look for each other. I like the pairs competition, but as Philip remarks, if it continues next season there are things we can do to improve it. Could the under 21 rider be made under 25?

Well you may be right. But if the referee does their job prior to the meeting to make it abundantly clear what will happen if deliberate slowing causes accidents or riding other riders wide happens then there really would be no excuse by riders to do that.

Not really, it just needs a STRONG referee to warn the riders beforehand that any dangerous riding will see them excluded. We then need a referee capable of kicking out any rider, from the World Champion to the home riders if it's deemed they're riding dangerous (not that I think they need to, they're that good).
