I'm only sharing what was going around amongst some fans and sponsors last night!! I guess we'll have to wait and see as in every season. You never know, some of the current Championship Thursday tracks may well be looking at Premiership status next season eg Ipswich, Sheffield?!

When in doubt bring out the "I have a family to worry about which is far more important to me than any speedway meeting" quote!! I'm really amazed that your family feature much much lower on your priority list than the amount of time you spend on every and any Poole-related topic on this forum!! I think the majority of Poole fans would agree Gavan - preferring that you trek to Belle Vue, Somerset or Wolves I mean!! BTW how were the likes of Glasgow, Sheffield, Workington, Redcar etc this season for the avid Ipswich fan?? Assume you went of course?! lol

If the whispers about fixed night racing are true (Mondays/Thursdays??) then I can see one or two of the top Danes becoming available to the UK especially with what's going on in Sweden at the moment!! Maybe a new Dane for Poole??? ;-)

If the BSPA are actually bringing in 2 fixed race nights for the Premiership next year (Mondays/Thursdays?) then it makes the promotion/relegation thingy a bit pointless as there are bound to be some clubs that are unable or unwilling to change from their usual race day and will therefore be consigned to the Championship!!!?

Can't see why Rye House could do their home meeting with KL on BH Monday 28th as a double-header with Poole? KL at say 5.30pm and Poole at 8.00pm (Would also give Poole an extra half hour to get there from their morning/afternoon meeting!!)

So with official averages being updated every 2 weeks, Timo's new average of 4.44 from 23/08/17 comes into effect for the final run of league fixtures. Assuming Timo manages to 'do a Klindt' at reserve, I think that'll mean he's likely to be back in the 1-5 for the play-offs - assuming we get there. He was certainly on the pace last night, finally!!

Fine in Bournemouth and forecast is for it to stay dry. Not sunny but very warm and very humid though, which might pose some problems for set-ups.

You're assuming that Sweden is going to be exactly the same ie Tuesdays, same teams and similar money?! NOT A CHANCE OF ALL 3 OF THOSE!! There is already talk of only ONE Swedish league. What happens if they decide they can only afford one league of Allskensvan standard and decide to run on Thursdays - just saying?!

So it does appear that the '2 fixed race night' proposal for the Premiership in 2018 is a confirmed item on the AGM agenda at the end of this season. This was proposed 3 years ago to give those clubs that rent/share their facilities ample time to re-negotiate their speedway usage with their landlords!! With Swindon and now Poole firmly in favour of the move - partially in the hope of attracting some of the 'top' riders back to UK racing - it'll be very interesting to see what is finally agreed. At Poole, greyhounds take place on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays so any other 2 nights should suit speedway. Monday/Wednesday or Monday/Thursday would be my guess - assuming there is still the chance of Monday TV coverage?!

Well clearly based solely on this season so far Middlo is 'struggling' as the 4th best team manager as we continue to hold onto 4th place - whether we finish there and make it to the play-offs remains to be seen. So by the same token and using Gav's opinion if Leicester manage to avoid 8th place then Jim Lynch won't be the worst team manager around?! At the end of the day I'm much more interested in riders' and other team manager's opinions of Middlo - which are in the main extremely positive and completely respectful of what he has achieved and how he's helped to achieve it!! I'm surprised Gavan hasn't asked his mate Mark Loram for his opinion of Middlo??!!

If I'd been a team manager and had what Middlo's had to deal with off-track in the last couple of years, I'd have probably packed it all in - and thats absolutely without any criticism of his team management record. People (and their nans) - especially on here - are so keen to stick the knife in without knowing the slightest bit about what has actually been going on?!

Aarnio was withdrawn at Berwick last night with a suspected broken metatarsal but apparently is ok to ride at Peterboro today??????

Struggling with an injury he may be but it didn't stop him being out on the p!$$ with Rosco and others last night!!

So Monday sees the last meeting for Lahti in the 1-5. He drops to reserve in place of Starkey from 23/08 according to the latest BSPA averages (assuming they are correct?). Paul and James should be ok to keep Kyle at bay but the Lions trump card could well be Bates - who has had good and bad meetings at Poole previously. Mondays don't suit everyone - neither some fans nor riders - so I still reckon that Poole could sneak a narrow win! Leicester have hit a run of reasonable scores of late, scoring 40 points away from home on a number of occasions so I'll go for 49-41.

The cut-off date has already been extended once from Sept 4th to 6th. I can't see it being extended again as there is precedent for it from previous seasons. Maybe make any outstanding fixtures a draw with 1 point to the home team and 2 points to the away team?? ;-)
