Wow, posters and leaflets for the 20th century!!? But we're well into the 21st!! I agree that the sport needs some expertise in deciding what it wants to be - a lovely family sport or high-octane thrills and spills - and a re-brand? Once that is decided then a concerted effort to connect with potential (and existing) fans via all forms of social electronic media should be made regularly and consistently. One big issue for me is the variation in facilities across the country which leads to a variation in the perception and value of the 'package'. Unfortunately the facilities/stadia aren't always in the control of Speedway's promoters. That has to be accepted and the product in that facility packaged to suit. If that means different admission prices at different tracks and/or only those tracks with decent facilities and finances operating at the highest level (whatever that might be) then so be it. Fans - whether new or old - want to be entertained, they more often then not want a winning team, but the bottom line is they want a good-value night out, with everything that might entail at their individual local track.

Quick question - Are the greyhounds continuing for a few more weeks yet, or is that it for both sports now till the new stadium is built?

Maybe the £18 admission was simply testing the waters and the likely attendances for an EL campaign?! Still, by this time next week we'll all know!! Incidentally, Davey Watt is now back home but still in a lot of pain after treatment in hospital at Harlow!

I agree that Jack Holder looked the better rider on Wednesday. Brady looks great when he gates and is in front but when he missed the gate he looked disinterested!! Jack looked far more on the pace when chasing for first/second place. Maybe a bit unfair on both based on just one 'friendly' meeting but you can only say what you see!!

So 'top' riders can't cope with riding against fellow EL heat leaders and 2nd strings yet can perform well enough in the GPs, Sweden and Poland where the other 'top' riders are?! Not about money or loyalty at all really then - just the really tough EL.........................!!??

So, according to the SS, Buster will consider standing as Chair of the BSPA if he 'has the support of all fellow promoters'?! Good luck with that then....... Incidentally the new Chair and BSPA Committee cannot be approved next week at the AGM, is it states in their constitution that it must be done in November!!

Has to be 7.50. He's not a GP regular so won't be an 8.00 If Matt (or anybody else) can get him on the same as Brummies got Zmarzlik, then fine. Wasn't he assessed at 6.50 or did I imagine it?

You are right about MF and the Buccaneers. However there were imo some basic errors made when that venture was launched - not least giving them a Bournemouth prefix!! To also run some of their meetings the same week (the day after) as the Pirate's meetings rather than in the weeks the Pirates were away, was an error. But we are all experts in hindsight!!

Not sure why this has rumbled on on the Poole 2016 thread? Thomsen will not be in Poole's 2016 team, especially if he continues in the Danish League!! Also if Poole are intending to keep Magic, Holder, Newman and either North or Gomolski, why would Matt Ford refer to 'rebuilding the team'??!
