All 'announced' teams still need to be formally approved by the BSPA!
-

You could well be right! - the fans forum on the Poole website has been playing up this morning - probably down to too many users!!

Back the Brits I say! -
I wonder if this will also affect Todd's place at Somerset, as presumably they would expect to live, travel, workshop etc together?

He's too old to drink Monster!!! -
Not sure if this has been asked/answered but how is Brady Kurtz on 3 points??
-
As a fan I can't disagree with this view - in fact while the sport is in the state it supposedly is, I would prefer a recorded highlights show - maybe fortnightly - rather than a lot of mediocre live meetings. However, from a commercial point of view - and certainly to benefit any new League Sponsor - regular weekly meetings are an attractive package (or should be!)
-
Agreed! Going back to the start of this thread, there were at least 2 other posts with the same info! Do they actually follow the Echo sports reporter's tweets? Its not as if he's even the regular speedway reporter!! Also, whether MF did say anything to this reporter (MF is not on Twitter),where and from whom would he have got the info if the 'deal is still being negotiated'?!
-
Even assuming the new deal was announced too early,- where/from whom did the info originate??

British Speedway Promoters Meeting

Yes but which would be the most likely?? A properly designed and run website with maximum interaction and accompanying facebook, Twitter etc etc feeds, could potentially reach millions!! -
Monster!!!!?
-
Not wrong at all!! If you believe GoSpeed are the only ones in regular touch with Sky - think again!! All MF's many sponsors will be well pleased and will keep the level of their investment at a strong level!! Plus of course Poole will probably get their fair share of the televised meeting revenue, so good news all round and correct to share it asap!!!
-
So a 5-year TV-only deal with Sky again - and the chance to attract a new 'Main' sponsor for the League(s)!! That should at least assist clubs and riders in attracting their own corporate sponsors!
-
Fine for me on IE.
-
Only available exclusively from UK's sole stockist - GSI Electricals!!!
-
That just about sums up speedway as a whole!!!!!!

Just to add a small bit of balance to the volunteers vs paid workers in speedway. Not all clubs rely solely on volunteers - I know at least one EL club that at least pays its Programme Co-Ordinator - and possibly others!! Whether its enough of course is another question entirely!!? Also, on the question of 'standardised' websites or homepages - the reason some promoters want a degree of individuality in the design is because they want sufficient space to give prominent exposure to all their sponsors and commercial partners!! As we know, some clubs are much better at attracting sponsors/partners than others, which does favour the idea of individually designed sites, but with some consistency of style and corporate branding as appropriate. I thought that what AP Media was selected to do - create and design - not host!!
