  1. IT seems the greyhound management at Monmore are not thinking that much clearer about the facilities they have there when a lot of their greyhound racing is is for afternoon bags when you only get a handful of people there, why are they ripping alovely seating area which has years left in it,the bar area is great,BUT it doesnt make sense to rip it all out just for an evening meeting or two at the track when what they already have in place was more the adequate to deal with the paying public.Madness from their management when the fixtures and fittings were more then good enough ,theres no way they are going to get that money back and the main crowd will only be on a saturday night, with the bags fixtures for about 50 paying folk.Clueless managent again for what gain.

  3. When Garrity went public and made that video about what he did the first time around when he came out of prison does anyone know how close he came returning to speedway racing with getting his bikes ready etc /contract talks?!!! Maybe the bikes were there before he got taken back in,but if they were not its a massive ask to get up and running .
  4. IS there anyway to get out of this dire situation of five teams and somehow jazz the season up a bit?!!! IM SURE!!! EVERYONE is fed up with me saying bring back the pit phone, match races or even a second half to fill this dire situation of five teams, and get some buzz back and people actually wanting to to speedway, even bringing in a polish team(yes i know rider clashes) for a midweek break in fixtures for a friendly match.JUST THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX where i dont think the mob running it at the moment do !!
  5. Right or wromg Bob Dugard always showed passion for the sport and when he and Eastbourne used to come to Arena Essex for matches i just couldnt wait for the match to come around and begin as the friction mounted even more so when Jon Cook was in the Lakeside pits!! I sooooooooooooooooo much miss that passion as todays matches you get nothing!!!BLAND build ups to matches is the norm these days.
  6. Adam SHIELDS while at Eastbourne spent almost the entire season one year with no mechanic and ive noticed there are a lot of ex riders willing to help and give advice in this day and age. What is the agenda with riders like Perry and trigger do they and their promoters think they should be full time only or is it still juggling work with sport?!!
  7. You always knew when Todd Wiltshire was on track!!
  8. Ive said this a number of times,JUST BRING THE CUTTING EDGE which was speedway many years ago and let the meetings play out with controversy, raw, energy.friction which will bring the crowds back INSTEAD OF THESE BLAND LADIDA MEETINGS where no entertainment is served up at all.AT THE MOMENT EVERYONE IS TOOOOOOOO NICE !!!!! Get the pit phone back and when a rider speaks to the ref EVERYONE in the stadium can hear the conversation and even though the ref never changes his mind at least it will get the fans involved to spice the evening up.SURELY that can be done in this day and age to get the pit phone back so everyone can hear
  9. But thats the thing Len Silver DID MAKE IT WORK for about 5 seasons all be it in the lesser bottom league but he made it work under Cearns. He is on record that he made a profit for Roger. The point im trying to make is are ALL sports going to be banned at Central Park or does it take someone with fresh ideas and a fresh positive fresh approach to get any sport off the ground at central park, and once that happens other sports will follow. There is going to become a time where greyhounds need help to get the most out of the stadium.

  11. Surely there must have be people somewhere that could make this venue work or has it been looked at already that i dont know about? If so sorry to go over old ground but it looks perfect venue for someone to try!!!
  12. With hardly any characters in ANY SPORT these days Speedway needs to go back to basics and NOT FINE anyone who even thinks about causing a problem or raising his voice in an argument.Ian thomas bless him was not everyones cup of tea but did he get people talking about things in an meeting when the racing was boring he got people talking and WE NEED PEOPLE like him to bring an element of friction in a meeting. In the UK these days the riders just swan in and out of the country ,with no element of doing anything other to score whats good for them and get out again and onto the next meeting.WITH FINES making people scared to breath speedway has gone stale, bring back the telephone and make it bigger and better for the riders to talk to the ref WITHOUT the risk of being fined,we know he/she wont change their mind but it was all part of the banter at one time when the racing was rubbish at least you had that element of banter that kept everyone talking.why cant we just get back to the natural reaction of riders without the risk of being fined?
