  1. Loads of red, white and blue tinted specs on here tonight. A big fuss about nowt just because it involved Hans Andersen. The only thing wrong as far as I could see was Scott refusing to shake Hans hand afterwards, now that was pathetic!
  2. As a regular user of the M25, I would say that Stansted to Swindon during rush hour is not a good idea in such a short time. It is do-able, but traffic on thethe M25 is never the same two days running. At the moment there are long term traffic works at the Holmesdale tunnel which is between junctions 26 and 27, which is at the very start of your journey. If you got through them ok and there was no more trouble on the 25 and you had a clear journey down the M4, you could just about make it at a push. Personally though, I'd say Peterborough is your best bet, if they are riding that night. Straight up the M11 towards Cambridge, A14 and A1, literally one straight road all the way there. Expect a bit of traffic where the M11 meets the A14, but apart from that hopefully you'll be fine. With no traffic, it'll take just over the hour.
  3. Pepe's current domestic form tells a different story, he's more than capable of a higher position in a GP than what he's been getting this far. I'm sure his confidence has been knocked by the bad scores he's getting. Hopefully if he actually qualifies for next year rather than being handed a wild card things might go better for him.
  4. Well done to Pepe. Good to see a couple of Brits through as well.
  5. Dunno what you saw in Tescos Kev, but I know who you saw outside! ?
  6. My 6th Cardiff GP and I still think its an amazing day out. I have to admit that I didn't think the atmosphere was so good this year either, not just in the stadium but around the City as well, but this didn't spoil things for us. I was absolutely gutted when Greg fell in the final, as I knew Crumpy wouldn't let a second chance go by and the meeting was his, fair play to the guy, but I felt for poor Jarek. Jarek winning the meeting would have been the icing on the cake for me, but it wasn't to be. Cardiff's always a good opportunity to meet new people, and this year I had the pleasure of meeting: Triple Bs - at long, long last. The two Poles Mateusz and Tommy, Vog, thetiger2799 and I was also introduced to Spook, whos the spitting image of someone I already know!
  7. Hi Tailgunner. Welcome to the forum. In case you're interested click here and you can find what was discussed last time. Interesting to read that you discovered Speedway due to the Cardiff GP and that you love the whole atmosphere. How does Speedway compare atmosphere wise, within the Cardiff area, compared to other activities at the Millennium stadium?
  8. Cardiff OR Wembley- Cardiff every time. Cardiff AND Wembley- yes please. A nice little evening out for me to Wembley and a weekend in Cardiff.
  9. Ooops! So my son wasn't telling porkies when he insisted he hadn't been opening my mail.
  10. This one's been covered before hazza, theres nothing to worry about, see here for more details!
  11. A slow start, I thought, but definitely made up for it later with some excellent racing. A big well done to Nicki, good luck with his op and hoping he's fully fit for Wroclaw. And great to see Tomasz riding so well, and looking so relaxed. I think its going to be a good GP season.
  12. It had already re-opened when we went there last August. Has a new trendy name now, "Zync" or something similar. God help us!
  13. I was joking Addy, you should know men can't multi-task!
  14. Give him a chance Addy, before long he'll be juggling a bottle feed, posting on the forum and booking a trip to Poland all at the same time!
  15. A vote to keep it in Cardiff from me too. A brilliant weekend away from home, eating out, meeting up with friends in pubs and a day out en-route home on Sunday. Speedway highlight of my year. Wembley for us would mean leaving home mid afternoon Saturday, taking my own sarnies, no booze and home by midnight. No thanks.
  16. Don't worry Chivs, just do what any other parent does and have loads of in-car entertainment, drinks, snacks etc, that should shut him up for at least half an hour! They wouldn't be able to afford my extortionate overnight rates, Kev. Far cheaper to book into a local hotel. Plus the chances of James giving up his bed on a school night are zero!
  17. Exactly my point ML, the schedules have changed so many times already theres not much point in changing plans at this stage, by September the times may even be back in their original slots. We only live 25 miles from Stansted so we'll most likely be the least inconvenienced of everyone.
  18. Another slight change already! Flight now leaves at 11.40am, 50 minutes earlier than the last change, whereas the return flight has been put back a whole 5 minutes to 22.10!
  19. Way too much information, Joanne!!! I'm sure you'll be fast asleep long before I start slamming doors, and as there's so many of us in the same hotel there will be lots more to slam!!
  20. Yes it is Addy so no excuses for being late for the Friday night meet-up, and not far to stagger back to the room afterwards!
  21. Hmmmm, hopefully I'll be able to remind you of this post on the flight back from Bydgoszcz! ...while I have the last laugh!
  22. If this is the case then the winter timetable will re-commence 6 months later...around the time of the GP!
