  1. No chance for Witches tonight at Berwick on Thursdays form when their gating was abysmal and many of their bikes looked totally under power! Lanhams form this season has been really poor for a rider that should achieve at least a 7.5 - 8.0 average, couple that with pathetically slow bikes and thats just not good enough. Needs a good kick up the arse or better still, kicked out of the team by his mate cl. Hawkins bikes also look slow indeed and his signing for the rest of the season is certainly not exciting as the "presenter" as usual over stated!!! Risagers bubble has burst as his usual purple patch seems to have ended and do not ride very well here anyway but thats usual for him away from foxhall. Cook makes Berwick much stronger and will outscore whatever the overrated Kennett would score by quite a margin. Easy win for Berwick here for me by 12 - 20 points.
  2. Well you know as well as me, some will poo poo as you put it on this forum whatever but hey! who cares Baldyman I certainly do not mate
  3. Correct but as we know a certain person will twist the facts to suit his own purpose!!! Jules, Jules, Jules !!! There you go again criticise, criticise, criticise, we are never going to be become best mates like this are we??? Tut! tut! tut!
  4. Yes at Witches Adam Roynon in for pathetic Lanham pleazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzze
  5. What a depressing performance that was from all Witches riders apart from Rohan. Sluggish out of the gate, slow bikes, pootling around the white line and taking the wrong lines mostly, getting passed over and over again etc etc. I said Barker needed to start riding like the no1 9.69av rider we signed but to no avail, 5 races and 5 missed gates is simply not good enough. Riding for Birmingham Wednesday he scored 12 points so perhaps he is better riding in the Elite League only. The terrible lines he take at foxhall and never never changes, shows he only knows one line and thats just inside the fence sadly. Hawkins well Hawkins is Hawkins, 4 - 5 points a meeting and thats that and terribly slow getting passed and also getting some extra points given to him. Tungate by far the best Witches rider and the only one who could gate, a very good performance from him. Risager, seems the bubble has burst and his purple patch is over which he has from time to time, so back to the white line safety line. Lanham, well has a rider let the Witches down more than him this season, I doubt it. Absolutely pathetic and even worse now at no5 than at no1. I for one hope he is replaced but very much doubt he will be as he is in the cl click. Ellis, well as usual one good race in the reserves race then nothing and Im starting to wonder if he is worth his team place after all he is a Lakeside asset. He came to Ipswich with a reputation for overtaking but we have seen nothing of that and seems to have gone backwards with no improvement at all. Heeps, well he has rode very well this season and I suppose he was due an off meeting and this was certainly it. Never gating and very slow and at times looking awkward, we hope for better next time. Slightly larger gate witnessing this very poor performance from the Witches, I would think the extra's are not likely to return. With the away meetings coming up at the weekend, a performance like this and they will be walloped and get no points at all.
  6. Well as usual its a matter of opinion what one think of rolling starts. Obviously they must not be allowed to happen, otherwise all the riders will start to try and cheat. So lets hope all referees clamp down on this and perhaps the rider should always be disqualified if found moving before the tapes go up once in position and green light is on. Its a beautiful day here in Suffolk today, so lets hope for a better gate and great racing between 2 teams that are in form and at last a warmer evening
  7. Did you not watch sky Monday sunshine and hear Mr Pearson's and Mr Tatum's comments on Robbo's gating prowess ??? Both agreed he is getting a reputation for trying to cheat at the gate with rolling starts, so certainly not just me but the hierarchy
  8. Lakeside which is on the outskirts of London and is up against all the other attractions in London and that is why they have small gates.
  9. Can I just state nowhere on this forum did I state there was or could be nearly 2,000 at Lakeside for any meeting. The nearly 2,000 was at foxhall ONLY so please you read my listing and not make up ridiculous suggestions that Ive not said
  10. This looks like a tough meeting for the Witches and will show how good we really are and whether we will be good enough to make the top 6 or not. Ben needs to start riding like the no1 we signed him for because as yet he has struggled to live up to that tag and theres no better time than this meeting to do just that. If he does I feel the Witches will win but if he does not its going to be difficult. I hope the referee keeps a close watch on Robbo at the gate so he doesn't get away with cheating with rolling starts, he is starting to get a real reputation for them, then whinging like hell he didn't. It will also be a good test to see what the gate is, goodish opposition and warmer sunny weather at last arriving, so should be near 2,000 and not struggling to get 700 or 800 as it has been recently for league meetings. If not, well proves the fans do not want premier league racing at all and the Elite League is the answer but there I already know that
  11. Why is that then? someone on this forum has to speak the truth and not look at everything Chris Louis through "rose coloured glasses" like you
  12. Tell me!!! what happened to your "not going to post on this site any more" ???????????????
  13. Not the most riveting of meetings to warm us all up on yet another windy cold night but when riders of the class of Holder, Ward, Bachelor, Woofinden, Harris and Nicholls are missing, you would not expect anything different from mostly premier league riders. Three riders who only ride Elite were present and Bridger was the only rider apart from the fantastic Jason Doyle to cause any excitement. But at least the gate looked a little larger and of course this was down to there being a few better riders in the meeting from the Elite League. There must be a message there for cl but as I fear he has no interest in the real world of moving the Witches back where they belong into the Elite of speedway.
  14. If you had the choice of riding for the GB team or the Aussie team, which would you choose??? I guess its a no contest lol
  15. What happened to your "I WILL NOT POST ANY MORE ON THIS FORUM" ??? Just a bit hypocritical do you not think ???
  16. Ha! ha! ha! lol  No worries Arson fire, its water off a ducks back mate, could not care less what is said, as so so many on this forum including Adams father, do not like the truth one bit and I will continue to post it Yes good point about him saying he would not post again, what a hypocrite lol I here Ben Barker pulled out of Brummies meeting last night with a broken rib, so looks like he might not ride Thursday, so demeaning this meeting even more!!! So howabout bringing in a National league rider in his place??? Oh dear! this meeting is becoming a joke and still at full price
  17. This is called an "International test match" but its totally second rate with none of the TOP GB or Aussie riders taking part and really is only a reserve (football term) meeting!!! If Ipswich Town played a reserve match, do they charge full price??? If as some say the price hilariously should be higher, well there would be none there as the season ticket holders probably will not go anyway, as their ticket disgracefully do not include this meeting!!!
  18. Yes Gavan but that team was total rubbish made up of the cheapest riders that were prepared to ride for the Witches and had no chance of success. But now with 3 sponsors who are keen to put their money behind the Witches, things could all turn round to some of the good old days, which lets face it were not that long ago, 15 years ago if my memory serves me correctly. Ben could be in our team doing the exactly same thing in the Elite League but partnered by say Andreaj Jonsson, would that not be mouth watering???
  19. Think Baldyman CL would charge full admission prices if it was England infants v Aussie oaps
  20. The reason louis dropped us down is because we had no team sponsor at the time and was struggling to sign riders good enough to make us competitive! But now with 2 or 3 good team sponsors is the time to move back where we belong. Of course that amount of fans will not return immediately, as many will see how the Witches are doing but given a competitive team who can entertain as well as win nearly all home meetings, they will eventually return without doubt. Ipswich football team is on the decline and those who love sport, Im sure will also give the Witches a look and if the package is good, who knows might become regular Witches fans.
  21. Quite a surprise to see this meeting take place with all this crap weather about but a big pat on the back to Bob and his team (inc cl driving the tractor) for preparing a very grippy track. Plymouth were absolutely awful and even when they got the gate were passed with ease by the Witches riders willing to go for the wider grip. This as usual did not include Lanham who was pootling around the white line and passing nobody taking the safe lines. The pass of Wells by Cook was sensational in heat 13 and just goes to show that with Woffinden, we have 2 Brits who are capable of taking on the world class riders but thats it. I thought Cameron had his best meeting for the Witches and was unlucky not to be selected for a ride in heat 15, as he had his helmet at the ready but Simmons decided not to use the lad. Another terrible gate as the fans decide to stay away in their droves and this must be a worry to cl and he should realise something is wrong. In my opinion there is a regular fan base out there of 2,000 but they will only come back if cl takes us back into the Elite League. All I hear from most forum users are that it will be too expensive and the elite league is in trouble if sky pulls the plug but its a fact of life that the 1,200 who stay away now will only come back if we re-enter the Elite League. Also Witches have good sponsors and we will never be in a better position than we are now to move back up!!!
  22. I hope you are correct at least he is capable of a double figure score so unlike Lawson. WHAT SUMMER
  23. So "mickthemuppet" are you living up to your name with "MIKE Procter tell me??? Or are we going to expect a "BIG HITTER" turning out for Plymouths CRICKET team??? I hear Lawson is taking TY Procters place which lets face it is a joke and should make it a Witches walkover now and will deter even more fans not to go and pay good money and brave the extreme cold. Another thought on the many comments elsewhere about the alarming drop in attendances now the novelty has totally warn off, of Witches demise and dropping into the inferior Premier league. The new stand looks wonderful if its a nice warm sunny day (when did that last occur?) but when its windy cold and dismal like most Thursdays so far, there is no cover from these conditions at all in it??? So why is this??? I guarantee many many more fans would go if protected against the elements of bad weather but sadly there is precious little at foxhall.
  24. So spanner47 is your actual name is it??? So your not a ""freak"" as you put it then
  25. Well I for one do not make any excuses for why the gates have dropped alarmingly!! Im sure if there was a referendum for either Elite League or Premier League among genuine Witches fans, the Elite League would win hands down!! I had about 20 friends I used to go with, now that has dropped to 8 as the other 12 will not come back until in the Elite League!! They do not like watching inferior riders week in week out and want to see the stars like Holder and Co. So thats 12 I can tell you about who have been lost to foxhall until Elite returns if ever??? As for the season ticket, well I think its very poor value for money and will never buy one again until it is value. So Im one who pays at the gate and that will remain that way for the foreseeable future!! As for the comment about Mr King knowing what he talks about? Well the jury is out on that one as he talks through his mentor CL all the time and I for one disregard what he says!!
