  1. Surely there should be a payment owed to season ticket holders ?
  2. July 2023 is date developers have said they want to stop the speedway, & remove the track. As other people have suggested, best case scenario could be to start the season at the Showground, & finish it at the bird cage if the developers get their way.
  3. School holidays have started, you have got loads of spare days !!!
  4. Sadly, I think you are right. Can't imagine watching Panthers at the bird cage, to be honest.
  5. Season tickets should be transferable to another person if the person who buys it can't attend for any reason, in my opinion. If this was made available, I would personally buy 2 or 3 season tickets through my business, & give the spares to friends & other businesses I work with. This could result in other businesses taking an interest in speedway, & possibly investing themselves in the future. The worst case scenario, is more people will buy season tickets.
  6. With the problems facing a few current venues, this is brilliant news. With Northside making amazing progress, maybe there is a bit of hope for Panthers finding a new home.
  7. Bloody hell, has Shovlar changed his name on here lol.
  8. Be very unlikely any bookie would let you put £100 each way at 100/1.
  9. Very nice burgers at Berwick, but that doesn't mean they were cheaper because he had a butchers, or that it paid for the speedway . By all accounts, Rob has a very successful butchery business, with a good reputation. Rick Frost had a very successful business, but it didn't pay for Panthers.
  10. Mine came from a specialist burger company, & they were very good. Buying frozen burgers ensured there was no waste, as they were cooked from frozen.
  11. Do you know his burgers were homemade, or are you just assuming they were because he owned a butchers ?
  12. I didn't say I didn't make much, I said that being a butcher didn't make it cheaper to make your own burgers. Also, it wouldn't subsidise a speedway venture.
  13. Although he is a butcher, it would still be cheaper to buy frozen burgers when you factor the labour costs involved.
  14. Thank you for your reply, is there any chance that you would be interested in resurrecting the Diamonds ? The money you have put into speedway is a very large amount of money in my opinion. As a footnote, I only had 2 burger trailers at weekends, & made a steady income, but also had a full time job lol.
  15. I had burger trailers for 10 years, & they wouldn't earn enough to subsidise a speedway business, trust me. Surely he had to give a bond to the BSPL before he could start trading ? Think this figure is £50k, sure THJ can correct me if I'm wrong. Rob will have lost money in my opinion.
  16. This project has been on the agenda for a long time, & they haven't had time to look for a new venue for speedway ?
  17. Really gutted for Newcastle fans, & to be fair to Rob Grant, he put his money into the club to save it for a couple of years.
  18. Edited, not sure how my original message ended up attached to your post, sorry.
  19. Agree to a certain extent, but he alienated a lot of people who had worked really hard for very little reward from the previous promotion. When he looks at what he could have done better, he might agree with me. on the other hand, he might stay stubborn, & believe I am wrong,
  20. Yet another deliberate fire to help dodgy developers. Surely the police must realise this is the case, & find the culprits, & lock them up.
  21. This isn't any different to BWD at Newcastle at the moment, in my opinion. He might ride again, but if he doesn't, at least Brum have found a replacement. The bottom line is that there isn't enough riders available for the league, & Plymouth have got a similar problem.
  22. They would still be aware that it was a temporary appointment.
