Dont remember that one... Then again I seem to have fallen a bit from the whole GP wagon due to lack of time. I dont have anything agains Zagar really, he's good at times but not someone they really need in the GP. He didn't even impress at Krsko this season, 10th with 7 points on a track that is touted as his home in a series he's supposed to be good enough for... Lee Richardson would be my pick for the British WC with a contract clause that says it's top8 this season or your out for good. If Nicholls could do 9 points avg's in all the big leagues next season and make it to the GP-challenge he should get another chance with a similar clause for 2011. Woffinden would only benefit from an extra year out. Harris has National League written all over his team's outlook and his performance isn't that great either. He's not worthy of a wc. It might be an easy way out for me, but I'd give the wc's to Fredrik and Hans. Just to give Trickninho a good slap on the wrist I'd leave him out, but there's so much all kinds of stuff through Rickardsson's past history in the sport that I think they would probably find a way to get him in by any means necessary. If Holta decides to quit, give it to the next pole (unless the rules state that the next in line from the challenge take's it. If that's the case, Holta can contact me if it depends on the money ), but is it Ulamek or Protasiewicz??? Both have a proven track record of not really making it, so Miedzinski? Is he good enough??? Forget get about Pavlic for next season, he's already booked for a wc appearance at Gorican (Spar states Gorican will host a round -10). There's still one left, I'd give it to Kauko!

International Meeting Balakovo, Russia

Anyone here who could give a link to a gallery of fotos from the Balakovo meeting? -
Zagar is not GP material and the only reason he's mentioned so often in this thread is that he was riding for Swindon this season. If he was only riding in Sweden and Poland with 9,5+ averages in both and no UK, no one would dare mention his name.
-
I think the FIM congress is currently in progress in China, so I guess next week would be a good bet.

Fuel to the fire a bit. Here are Swedish averages from Elitserien. Names listed are riders that rode or have ridden in the GP or SWC in the past. I talked to him in August and he didn't say anything about quitting, in fact quite the opposite.

I'll give you that, not much else

Last question first... Some pretty strong danish beer since I/we today bought a house and for the first time in my life I'm seriously in debt. But thats after I wrote what I did. You say JD gave a free point to Zorro... Well maybe AL should have beaten Kauko Nieminen in their heat at Motala semi (Nieminen finished last in the qualifinal, AL was too busy to show up). How did Kauko finish in at Motala? 4th!!!! AL qualified as a reserve. HAH! AL COULD NOT KEEP HIS HEAD TOGETHER, did he! Well done for Zorro for winning the quali final as I sincerely hope this means that Freddie gets a wc and Lindback can keep on riding in the leagues to fill his spare time... In all honesty, there's only only one reason AL can get picked now.
-
Have you been to brain surgery or lobotomy during the past season? You seem to post pure sh!te and nothing else these days... What has Lindback done this year? He's seen his prime even with the wc's he's had this season. According to the results this season Zorro is in his prime. and you Scottish arent? Didn't even bother to read the rest. Which system isn't? Change the record.

... and why wouldn't I!

International Meeting Balakovo, Russia
f-s-p replied to f-s-p's topic in International World of Speedway
A bit different, yes. Talked to the younger Lahti and he said they only took clutches to Russia, everything else was borrowed and that the others rode damn fast. 10k people in attendance as it was somebody's farewell meeting/governors cup. Had a good time. -
Of course he is. I knew he would be there, but like I said, for this one. The behind the scenes story that I have is a bit different than yours, but who cares as long as Kalle does well!
-
I think this was a good move in this point of the season. He's done all the possible training camps and meetings in Finland and what was availabe on the international calendar + Sweden as much as it was allowed in the end . Season here was over so to come over and do seven (i heard that said) meetings more in the UK is a good step. And he's good enough now to actually score some points and make money even, not just spend it. Not really sure about Kylmo's role in this, still hopefully Kalle manage's to get all the info available off from him. He was there for this one, I've heard nothing (not asked either) about the future... They might go numb... No need for that to happen!

Martti Väyrynen, PMK confirmed for bronze in 1978.

Well done Svemo! We talked about this new rule regarding the signing of a Nordic rider in the 1st division for next year. What is an "A-team"? Not really sure about it... But the thing is that this rule opens the gates only for the riders from Iceland, since Greenland is technically a part of Denmark. Norway and Finland both have a league of somesort in operation. So what was the point of this?

Huge surprise, Timo Lahti has made his name in my eyes by the fact that he goes to a place and perfoms not caring about the circumstances. Actually this was his first time ever to finish last! I wonder whats the story behind this one... Sportowefakty.pl... Koncowa klasyfikacja: 1. Denis Gizatullin (Rosja) (3,3,2,3,3) 14+3 2. Sergiej Darkin (Rosja) (3,3,3,2,3) 14+2 3. International Meeting Balakovo, Russia
f-s-p replied to f-s-p's topic in International World of Speedway
Well I wouldn't be much surprised about that to be honest, slightly disappointed though, yes. Still the Lahti brothers left Finland yesterday and are flying to Balakovo today from Pietari. Practise on friday and the meeting on saturday. They (the older anyway) are as hyped as heII and hopefully have a great trip! -
Yet they published this said release the day before EVERYONE knew about Prodrive's homologation. A silencer that has been tested for months. Like I said, our federation even has people on board the FIM... It has to change of course, but how long will it take, 2 or 3 months perhaps. Hopefully the riders are more aware and will not be buying Akra's before the year is out.
-
An official press release from the Finnish federation came out on October 5th that says that all Finnish meetings will be run with the Akrapovic silencers (FIM TRS 2010/05) for the next five years apart from Kaupunki Cup. KC can keep the current King's and Jawa's. They really have no idea whats going on and to think that one of the CCP members is Finnish!

Did not watch these... Hoping for some material from the junior meeting the day before?

Klindt looks 40+ in the pre meeting photos... Must have had a late night the day before... -
Timo Lahti had his share of bad luck too. In his semi he was second when it was stopped and in the rerun his front chain snapped in the last bend and one rider was able to pass him for third. This was a great performance form Timo, but not unexpected. If anyone has the spreadsheet of this meeting or heat to heat detailed results, please PM me!
