So now that GB is seeded we get the logistical choice of Race Offs... USA and Ukraine won't have a chance in Latvia. Timo Lahti has spent the last three seasons there... I see a bus trip to Daugavpils on the horizon!
-
Why wouldn't they try to acquire the current team? I'd try... I'm sure Morris will forgive me for my error. From what I've seen he's so much hands on the job a raker is as good as a term as a race director.

What are the positive's of changing BSI people to One Sport people? Why does it need to be done? Discovery will own it all but since the meetings are under FIM, Morris will continue to be the clerk of the course and lead local people who actually make the GP happen. Why would it be One Sport, what have they done to earn the right to do anything at GP level?

Damn I need to wait another week as my copy today was for Dec 7th! Still it was interesting to read from this one that FIM went for the money big time. -

Five laps a heat clockwise and a one-off final heat for the title after 16 GP’s around the globe with one on each Ekstraliga track in Poland. -

Whats to take forward? Each major speedway country has been in decline for the past decade. Just because Poland has Ekstraliga on TV doesnt mean the sport is doing well there. -
Oxford city or whatever needs the parking lot for 100 houses and at the same time calls back 400+ houses PP at the northern gateway. This was in a link behind the link above...

Russia banned for four years
f-s-p replied to uk_martin's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
It says in Finnish news that if CAS keeps this ruling, it will go down to governing bodies to decide which athletes can still participate. So in our case FIM goes through Russian riders individually and determines if they are still good to go. So who we expect FIM to ban? Ruslan Biktimirov or Laguta bros... -
Finnish final at Kauhajoki on Feb 22nd and Nordic final at Varkaus on March 7th.

If you say so. But should he be SENT there? As in bills paid trip down under...

Recession is knocking at the door. Been 11 years when the lights went out big time last time... If you think about it, WRC only has three teams next year -

Where exactly are the new venues everyone is after? Middle-East, Spain and United States are mentioned... Really? -

Seems a bit far fetched that U could cancel a sub because something MIGHT happen two years from now. But you can naturally try. -

Wasnt my intention... Eurosport 2 is pay tv over here. Chorzow -> exactly. Only other big meeting I’ve seen a ”roller” mid meeting is the first Warsaw meeting. So in my mind packing a track with one mid meeting is not something classified as a first class track. -

What are the positives in this change? How much better will the tracks be if OneSport takes over building them I translated the Poltorak article from Sportfaty and she seemed happy. Something about stagnating series and now new ideas will make things better. Wonder how they make it better in an enviroenment thats in decline all over? -

Kai Lehtinen missed his European ice racing final a few years back because he did not have the correct insurance papers for his ice racing bike... When the U21 final was in Russia, bikes were seized at the border. For the GP challenge riders travelled with engines only and rented local frames for their number one meeting of the season. It's just not right.
-
And thats the reason why SGP should not go to Russia. IMO.

Because all of them are subsidized (sorry if mispeled) by the city/region/goverment. Thats how ALL sport works in Poland. Krakow for an example had an overgrown footie pitch in the middle. Some track are busy, some tracks are only for the "top team". No difference to any other country. And Wroclaw has the American football to use. It's all VERY different to UK. Thats all I know.
-
But with 2-3 more it would be ok? Meaning a stand alone 3rd tier.. I visited the Krakow stadium last summer. Looked rebuilt 5 years earlier and for the life in me cant figure out why they cant make it viable in a city that big. Anyways, trees were growing in the stands, was a sad sight even with the local beer prices...

Those two 15 years ago, did they have time to double up in the UK?

Who said that? Our Posti is on strike this month so wont be expecting my Spar for a while... SEC has been ridden since 2001.
