Rob & not just him tho as promotions before him have had the same problems in the past about Sunday racing but could still attract a decent side that was well near the points limit & at least won home matches which fans were happy to pay for & I take my hat off to him for giving it a go but to blame riders for being greedy & massive amount of money for guests is not on.. it's said there's a rider shortage but he told me himself that he's got riders desperate to ride for him & that was last August so where are these riders well we did get starkey but this isn't a dist on complin or congreve but I would have had James & Max starting ( if averages allowed ) at reserve this season & used up all the other points available to build the rest of the team which would have made us more competitive certainly at home

This was the 1st time in about 18 years I never bought a season ticket as the team was worse than last year's & we nearly went bust then

Seemed it was his way or no way & there was plenty of help offered

Even when there's no passing it's still such a fast race track & great to watch

His phone is permanently off well to certain angry speedway people.. not a nice way to end such a huge part of speedway history & a top top club.. he should have kept it closed last year took advise from some very good ( Newcastle fans ) & came back in 2023/24 with a new track etc & he would have been on to a winner !! But unfortunately he put a poor team together & that's blaming the riders who gave it a go & that's why fans stayed away so I hope it's not the end of the Newcastle diamonds forever

Plenty help offered in different ways of raising funds to help the club & even the coaches I have ran in the past raised decent money for the club ! I was asked to join the club supporters thing this year which I said yeah & I'll run the travel & when I advertised it on the forum for ( lewi Kerr's testimonial meeting) as some fans don't have Facebook etc I was asked to take it down which I said it's how I've always done it & had a good crowd on the buses but I was told we don't want to do it this way so I thought well that's me out already before I got the chance to run them... Sad day today but we knew it was coming
