  1. My opinion of the GP for what it's worth are: Fantastic racing later on in the meeting. Tony R has really gone up in my estimation, from his attitude in the pits, to seeing him out on the track when Leigh Adams crashed, top marks to you Ricko. Ditto Scott Nicholls. Despite being eliminated early on, & obviously being dissapointed, he was proffesional & very mature in his interview. Jason Crump has gone way down in my estimation. I've always admired him for his undoubted talent on a bike, & I've always rooted for him, but I now think his attitude is completely wrong & if he did become world champion ( which I don't now think he ever will), he would not be a good ambassedor for the sport. Whilst on the subject of attitudes, the article by Ivan Mauger in this weeks Speedway Star is spot on. Sorry about some of the spelling, I've been out in the garden all afternoon, cooked an evening meal for seven, & I've just been sitting outside with Mrs Lt enjoying a nice bottle of plonk whilst listening to the birds singing, altogether now.."the tide is high.........................
  2. & to think it's now been reduced to hundreds of Barretts crappy little overpriced cardboard boxes. (Bitter? Me? Too *%#@ing right I am).
  3. I thought the one in blue had a nice bum, but it's a bit worrying when you start admiring the riders helmets. :-o

  7. The red ones with the chequered pattern, They were provided by a sponsor & he always hated them. I always regret selling them. Ray is now semi-retired, but still does a bit of HGV driving. Dosen't go to speedway nowadays though. 8)
  8. I love it when you slip into Red Indian speak.
  9. One of my best memories was sitting in the Blackbird Road changing rooms with the team for the first time, & getting to talk to him. Also I remember buying a set of leathers off him & him having to come round my house to borrow them back as he'd forgotten to pack his & was on his way to Kings Lynn. I can also remember the red face mask & scarf he used to wear, & the way he so often twitched at the starting gate before a vital last heat decider, causing one of the opposition riders to break the tapes. Happy happy days.
  10. I wouldn't hold your breath mate. :x BTW, Ray Wilson was my first true sporting hero. I idolised him as a schoolboy. 8)
