  1. The plus side is that Kent should have any combination of Gilkes, Ablitt, Ledwith & Spooner at reserve across the season which would be very potent plus with the first 3 likely to make a mockery of their averages (and the reduced points limit skewing the numbers further) the overall team total will look much higher when the first set are released.
  2. I suspect it will be the Lawson, Kennett & Morley combo that was initially "supposedly" lined up. Obviously there have been a few delays with Eddies average then Morris potentially became available due to his Polish team being refused a licence, thats now been resolved so Morris is realistically off the table and it will be the Lakeside Eagles rather than the Lakeside Eagles......
  3. Huge signing for Kent as many would/should have been chasing this signature. Very talented young rider with good backing which makes a huge difference even at this level. As for the other rider absolutely no idea but the tail of the Kent side is very strong even if the heat leaders are not the strongest they certainly won't be the worst. Could have been wrong about this Kent side but coming in under the lowered points limit raises some alarms.
  4. That would leave a 4 and a bit point hole, not really any riders around on that average...the return of Bradley Andrews? Can't help but feel that Kent have blundered the team building this year....
  5. Can't have been the initial plan as Eastbourne are also running Saturdays. Josh Bailey would be a good signing but is another double upper.
  6. The worst bit is that whilst complicated the above actually has documented rules.....it appears that the NL for 2019 does not as yet.
  7. You are correct with Kemp having a Championship place at Sheffield. He has been signed on a 2 point average having completed one less meeting than is required to get an actual average. When that next meeting is completed his average goes up to 4.5 something. Then with the conversion rate of 1.5 between Champ & Prem next year he would become eligible to be a 3 point Premiership rider and take up a place at Ipswich.
  8. Lost his Polish team though which will certainly affect his income and race sharpness.
  9. Reason i asked is because if the lowest value a rider could have was £500 for example then Brum just needed 30 second half riders to be assets to cover it. Even if the gave them £50 each to sign on it would have cost them £1500 to get the £15,000 value required. Probably plenty of reasons why that wouldn't have worked but if i actually got it right for once please keep the Masons away from the Perr Barr flyover
  10. Certainly a tough ask. Any combinations of Waj, Shanes, Morris & Newman looks good in the 2,3 & 4 positions BUT one of them is going to get stuck at number 5. I guess the benefit of higher averaged reserves is that its possible for any of them to drop down (providing Paco & Thomsen don't do worse) unless a healthy lead is built up before heat 12 i fear for this side.
  11. Grajczonek needs to really deliver this year especially with his Polish team going down the toilet.
  12. Who values the riders out of interest? Do you know what the lowest financial bracket is?
  13. Leicester are no slouches in those heats either.
  14. Spot on. Got lazy and used the 2019 signings thread rather than the actual greensheets....probably islander getting his own back because i was mean about the Warriors side
  15. Very good signing, starts at number 1 but forms a very good trio of heat leaders. Last signings are a bit of a mystery? I feel Luke Harris is bound to be in the side and is good value on his average but that would leave 4.96 for the final 2 riders? Embleton and Dicken are both 2.33?
  16. Thats alright then, he must know he won't be turning up often and they will benefit from extra RR points.
  17. Strong finish, 6 out of 7 ticks for me and certainly a top 4 side.
  18. Quite likely. Just an example side of riders who want to ride in the NL and should be prepared to take £20 a point for the benefit of doing so plus would be a competitive side.
  19. Certainly would be good if the answer was yes. Also there must be 7 riders who would jump at the chance at riding for Buxton this year (for not silly points money) rather than sitting on the sidelines. Silly Season but Smith 8.41, Armstrong 7.69, Wooley 6.69, Halder 4.63, Embleton 2.88, Macdonald 2.72, Dicken 2.33 = 35.35 all northern, all got no current (declared) team places.....
  20. I don't think the Buxton promotion would need a penny to run the 2010 season again. Just a time machine and our best wishes.
  21. Certainly quick enough, only question marks ive heard are regarding his control as has a bit of a reputation from the Longtrack scene of wiping riders out BUT that is only what ive been told and not seen first hand.
  22. IMO the reason why the GP's provide better racing consistently than any league is because you have the closest matched riders in ability competing against each other. If teams were made up of riders starting on 3-5 point averages the racing would be more entertaining, all leagues are blighted with 2/3 point riders at one end and 9/10 at the other, then wonder why close exciting racing isn't regularly served up.
  23. Certainly don't debate that he could do a job and knows his way around the track but with on 3 NL clubs that could accommodate him and in reality 1 space at each club so needs one of 3 spots available. Assuming his injury from last year has healed up (which it should have done).
