Thought for a while that Bacon would be more suited to Newcastle. Perhaps the two sides can get together and complete a swap deal? Certainly think it would benefit both Bacon & Coles if they had a different home track.

I would like to see the team line up something like 1. Williamson 2. New signing - O'Keefe 3. Woolley 4. Rutherford 5. New signing - Clegg 6. Basford 7. Geary I would think that the top 2 speeak for themselves and Woolley / Rutherford should get more points at positions they are more comfortable in. Could mean that Geary is busy for a while but he looks to be the most competitive 3 pointer in the side and would gather a few more points in the number 7 jacket.

Out of interest does he have a different guy on the spanners at Leicester?

Year on year tuners seem to be getting a bit more speed out of engines added to the emerging riders being prepared to set them up so they are on the edge of being un-ridable but fast. If the likes of Pedersen isn't prepared to do the same he will get left behind.

Tough test for the Warriors with the in form Ayres, Perry & Harris on the way over. For the home side Payne looks a good guest but the lower order may hurt them a little creating another busy night for the over achieving Sealey unless Ben Woodhull develops an immediate liking for the track. Ultimately im hoping for a close meeting, good racing and a good crowd if the Warriors and edge it then it would be a bonus.

It can be deeply frustrating watching a rider you know is better than they are actually performing. There could be a multitude of reasons such as over confidence, lack of confidence, over doing it away from the track (don't forget Danny has a young family) the least likely reason is that he has become a lesser rider over the winter im no doubt he will click soon and be banging in big scores in both leagues both home and away.

Bit unfair Jacobs being in the side at all. Im all or giving riders without a team place extra rides but its certainly been done to ensure Mildenhall have the edge. However if the young lions can run them close it has the makings of a decent meeting. Might even be enough to tempt me back to West Row?

Personally id like to see Knight at Kings Lynn & Greaves join him once he is officially released by IOW as they desperately need strengthening. Id obviously like to see IOW recruit a suitable replacement also & likewise Buxton with the Perks situation. Im sure both the Warriors & Buxton would love to be in the situation of having 7 riders & just worrying about a slight loss of form of a couple of them.

Very true although it does make me wonder why they have cut their MDL side this season? When you think that Bailey, Kinsley, Whitmore, Hampshire etc progressed through this route where are the future young starts going to come from?

The problem is that Coles is mates with the Dugards, has moved to the south coast and has a job down there as well. Im not saying that Eastbourne have ever done anything but put the needs of the club first but i suspect Connor will be given more time than another unconnected rider. Bit of a merry go round but if Bacon went to Newcastle, Greaves to P'Boro & Coles to Ipswich it would give all riders tracks they are more suited to without impacting their NL teams.

He was told to return to the pits as he had lost a chain cover when doing a practice start (ironically had it fallen off at the actual start no action would be taken) not sure if he would have been timed out anyway but going round the tapes just confirmed it hence the accompanying Benny Hill music which personally would have been better reserved for the air fence replacement attempts.

Think Morley could certainly do a good job especially at Home & despite struggling for P'Boro IF Tom Bacon became available i think he could also do a very good job for the Diamonds.

Struggling to gather much enthusiasm (once again) for the pairs meeting. Looks pretty much like a glorified practice session although it would be nice to see Ben Morley back but a tenner for 12 heats of riders who are there week in week out seems a little dull. Normally i would get my extra fix at Mildenhall but with Kings Lynn in town it doesn't look much of a match so i guess its a coin toss between Eastie & P'Boro for this weeks pennies.

As correctly stated James has several continental contracts signed for grass/longtrack and would be foolish to break them. He is very aware that his best prospects of becoming world champion are down that route rather than speedway. He is also clever enough to realise that his continental stiff could stretch on for years whereas a Championship position could only last a season. I guess it boils down to which 10 meetings he would miss? if they were away the guests could be found who go well at the respective tracks?

I have always been of the belief that Danny King recommended Hume. Smith guested for Kent @ Brum and JPB obviously cut his teeth at Buxton. Either way all 3 of these riders along with Tom Bacon all did their early development elsewhere with Birmingham scooping them up once the level / averages fitted.

In fairness any illegal teams tracked in the MDL were retrospectively resolved. Equally there is nothing to stop a side running 2 x NL riders & 2 x number 8's. Immoral possibly but illegal no.

Nobody is expecting miracles but with the amount of effort shown by the Warriors promotion surely its not too much to ask the same from their riders? Mullins may have been plagued by mechanical issues most of the night but history suggests he has a tendency to pull up at the back. At least if a rider tries for 4 laps they will endear themselves to the fans like Jamie Sealey appears to be doing.

Top 4 for the islanders doing their jobs but the tail is hurting them. Govier back to early, Sealey giving plenty of effort which appears to be more than Mullins is offering. Does he realise this is his last chance saloon? Swindon select all chipping in points and look early favouritesfor the final.
