Ipswich Witches v Sheffield Tigers 7th June
JamesB replied to Badge's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I couldn't get back from London in time to attend tonight, so any summaries of the performance would be great. -
Looks like a good call. It's been raining for a couple of hours now and looks to be set in for a while.
-
You must have some good connections. Unexpected heavy shower here north of Ipswich at the moment.

Fair point, well made. -

I agree but I don’t think it’s that simple when Nico is in the team. Both Nico and Cam generally struggle out of the gate and if they both miss it then they both head to the fence and want to ride the same line. -

I have a black tie dinner in London, so also hoping that Sue finds someone as I will also be relying on the updates. -

I didn't think that 10 points would be enough, but again great credit to the reserves. Newman and Campton also played their part. Great result. -

Is it a slow meeting or did it not start at the advertised time? -
Edinburgh Vs Workington & Ipswich 8th September, 2017

It's a shame that we lost Covatti and Hume as I think that the original declared line up would have taken a lot of stopping. -

So, basically naff all from r/r and the guest and we still end within four points. Great credit to the 'Witches' particularly Mountain and Greaves. -

I agree. The amount of whinging on a number of threads is really starting to get on my nerves. On the Updates thread tonight, there seems to be a series of posts about people no longer attending speedway at Foxhall for various reasons. It seems to me that some individuals as is their prerogative have decided to no longer attend but as a general principle I would say that the average crowd this season is appreciably better than last. Personally, I appreciate the fact that I still have a speedway team I can watch and support and will continue to hand my money over as long as either it or I are still around. Anyway, back to tonight's meeting. Another solid performance and another great guest in Lewis Kerr. Not the best of meetings with a number of heats pretty strung out. -

I think Kevin is very good, he always manages to make me chuckle.

Yep, I'll be stepping in. Won't be up to Sue's standard, but I'll do my best.

Ipswich V Peterborough Ch 24-8-17 @7-30

A really average meeting apart from heat 15. As has been said by a previous poster, I am not quite sure how the Panthers ended up with 41 as they really were pretty average. Not quite sure how JCF thinks Holder was beaten by home track advantage as in his first two outings he gated and was then passed easily by Schlein and King and beaten by a distance. -

Hope Kyle's injury is not serious, however I was impressed with Campton last week at Foxhall so hopefully he will be decent cover. It's going to be a long night with both sides operating r/r and even longer if Sarjeant repeats his gating performance of last week. -

Wow. I thought we would struggle to get a point, but to win by 12 away from home is an excellent result. Great to see that Connor won heat 14, that lad deserves a lot of credit for knuckling down and improving week on week. -

Looks like Berwick will need to find an alternative for Hopwood. Fell in his first ride tonight and then withdrawn. -
