SpecialOne replied to Trevor's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That is the beauty of this season, it really is the most open in years and everyone has a different view on it. -

The view through them looks a lot better than those Green Ones you wear - envy really is not a good look for you. -

Good to see not so fast Freddie dropping his average for next season -

Where do you now see Swindon picking up points away from home?Belle Vue, Poole, Coventry x2 & Kings Lynn? Winning the 3 home fixtures gives Swindon 49. Kings Lynn have Leicester at home x2 and away which should be 9 points. Assuming Swindon & Kings Lynn each beat each other at home Kings Lynn have a home fixture against Coventry which will be key. If they win this then Swindon have to win another away match. I think Belle Vue should be in and Swindon or Kings Lynn for the other place. Belle Vue have 40 like Swindon but have only lost once at home all season. Should be easy pickings against Leicester & Wolves. Swindon will be the key fixture but I can see them beating Wolves away given the form of the respective sides. -

We all know SteveBrum is bitter and hates the Robins which makes this result such a sweet one. Play offs or not it was worth it to see his excuses and accusations which based on no fact but his just own biased opinion. -

It is going to be a very tight race, could be any 2 of the 3. I think Robins may just miss out as there are a lot of easy looking fixtures for the other 2 teams but when you have the messiah Rosco in charge, anything is possible. -

I will be looking for you Steve, will you be stood near the start finish? Is that where you are if you still go to speedway? I know you don't drink but nothing to stop you buying me one to show you have no sour grapes. -

Save that for after on here hey Steve. I will be traveling up for what will no doubt be another easy 4 points for the mighty Rosco. You will know who I am I will be the one stood there with a massive grin on my face. -
Agree, unfortunately Steve has been subject to watching the drivel served by the Wolves promotion this season and it has made him a very bitter individual and nobody on the forum can take him seriously. Can only feel for the other Wolves fans on the terraces around him (if he even still goes to speedway).

I agree with the comments about giving Rosco full credit for the moves. He has single-handedly changed the dynamics of the Elite League this season. He really is the leagues own Bret Hart, 'The best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be'

Or perhaps Belle Vue should have had foresight not to allow Zengi to race at Lakeside and get some set ups sorted for the Swindon match
-
The point is if Zengi scored poor this would always be a potential argument. I haven't heard the Aces management complain at all about him. Zengi has been a sensation all season and was another masterstroke from the great Lord Rossiter. Comments such as you are going to see the 'cheating robins' do come across a tad on the sour side.
-
Well well well what a result. Superb couple of days for Robins fans across the country. I was only in attendance for Thursday's fixture but full marks to Lakeside for making 2 memorable meetings also. With the Zengi comments, is it a bit of a dumb play by the Aces promotion to choose a guest rider who rides for the team directly in competition for one spot. Not as dumb as some of the words of SteveBrum who has once again been made to look very silly by this result and eat his words in a public forum. Too stuff.

Unless they have hired the ancient Egyptians, 8 months does not seem long enough to build a new stadium from scratch, also taking into consideration winter weather.
-
If you had actually watched the meeting (or been there like I and the rest of the faithful were) you will know that: Heat 1 - Holder packs up and cost Poole a 4-2 and made it a 4-2 for Swindon Heat 2 - Poole set for a 4-2 again but Starke loses it off bend 4 and makes it a 3-3 What should have been Poole 8 Swindon 4 was Poole 5 Swindon 7. A lot of bad luck for the pirates, no too mention further happenings as the meeting went on. Both teams put in a tremendous battle which really served to showcase the sport and the great promotion down at Blunsdon.
