  1. What the actual f*** is this about? This has got to be the most ridiculous post I have ever seen both in content and presentation. It's 5.30 in the morning when I would usually be grumpy as hell but I'm actually laughing at this. Deary me. Ok it's a bit later now, I'm awake and ready to add a bit more! Q. How is having Ronnie Allen refereeing the same as having mourinho's brother ref a Manc game? Don't get that at all. How on earth would that be all 4 back, Garrity cleaned him out! Exclusion all day long. I'm happy to agree with you about sarj to an extent, he shouldn't have been excluded. You're last 2 comments are....well....pathetic to be honest. Cov took a spanking against a decent KL side, a few things went against them (Harris coming off when nicely placed and Hans fencing his own rider) but that's speedway. How Poole even came into this thread is beyond me 🙈🙉🙊
  2. Yes fair point, I think it's more how the 15m rider is set up rather than James doing anything wrong.
  3. Whether or not he has that remit I don't know. But to me it's clear, Garrity caused the stoppage and was rightly excluded. The ref then either noticed himself or it was brought to his attention that Sarj may have jumped and because he had already been penalised the ref decided to exclude him too. For what it's worth I feel a Re run with 3 riders with sarj off 15m would have been fair
  4. Only trouble with that as I said before is that the ref wouldn't have been watching Sarj, he'd have been watching the start line. Therefore Garrity was the cause of the race being stopped. The race would probably have run its full 4 laps without that and James may or may not have been excluded then.
  5. There's an interesting slow mo video going around from behind Sarj in heat 12. In it, you can see that Sarj has not moved until the tapes start going up. However, it is also clear that he has started moving when the tapes are still at wheel height for the other 3 riders who are still motionless. Therefore, it would appear that he has gained a small advantage over the others. Maybe the ref had access to this angle / speed. I will try and post it on here but don't hold your breath, I'm not very technical!
  6. I never said he jumped and I don't believe he did, it was a poor decision. But not one that had a huge impact on the result or meeting. In some ways the hoo Haa (spelling?) added to the excitement.
  7. My understanding is the ref would have been watching the start line not 15m back, Garrity then caused the stoppage and while checking the replays to check that, the ref noticed (incorreclty) that sarj had gone before the tapes. Hence Garrity was the cause of the stoppage and had the race run its course, uni suspect Sarj may have been excluded at the end. Just a theory but one which makes sense to me ☺
  8. Sorry for having an opinion. As for your comment it was quite grown up until the final paragraph. Shame.
  9. If we're talking one off night World Finals as well, Mark Loram couldn't gate either from what I can remember. Anyway time will tell, I for one hope DW does realise his potential.
  10. Yes and likely more than 1 👍 the kid's a natural talent on the bike and combined with the extra maturity that will come from age and lessons learnt, this will enable him to hit the highest heights. In my humble opinion.
  11. Bit of kidology going on here me thinks lol. I think on paper there's very little between the two sides and BV have proved they are more than a match for Poole this season. I will quite happily take a narrow victory at this stage
  12. Who by? Sounds like you've been listening to the voices in your head again. He's undoubtedly got the potential to be one of the best but dropping points against Holder and Magic round Wimborne Road is no disgrace!
  13. Possibly because he was up against 2 world class riders who also know the track better than most. Also to say he performed so badly is staggeringly inaccurate, with 2 paid wins, and being involved in a couple of epic races 👍
  14. So you can't think of a clever or funny answer then eh? Disappointing, you started off so promisingly 👍
  15. I actually agree with this. BV are the last team I'd want in the play offs, personally I'd take coventry and hope for a poole v swindon final 👍
  16. Try this it's not very clear mind but does suggest kyle was hit twice. Apologies if this doesn't work. https://twitter.com/PirateCast/status/626485912147501056
  17. I hope not, and I doubt it to be honest. He didn't have a good night in Poland yesterday so if he has an off night it should be treated as such unless it's glaringly obvious!
  18. Fingers crossed for you guys, Speedway cant afford to lose you.
  19. As the 'Robin' in question in Alan Boon's statement (not sure how to include it in my post as I only joined today!), I just want to clarify the position from my perspective. I'll keep it short. I agree with much of what Alan says; although we appear to view life completely differently and are unlikely to agree on much, I like his tweets and as he says, we've had a few back and forths, all in reasonably good humour. The reason I retweeted the comment in question was not that it offended me, we have all seen far worse on social media to be honest, although I did express disappointment as I felt it was a step too far. I retweeted it as I had witnessed, in the few weeks leading up to his return, a few Coventry fans stating they would never want DW at their club as the Bees and their fans 'have morals', and as a fairly prominent Bees fan on Twitter, I felt Alan's comment contradicted this view greatly. It was not meant as a criticism of Alan, more as a statement to those few Cov fans to get off their high horse. As a final point, my tweet to him which led to his comment was a response to him congratulating the polish fans on the banners, and merely stated i doubted whether it would bother DW at all.
