  1. This was changed a few years back to allow NL teams to get assets especially the stand alone one I.E mildenhall, Cradley, Birmingham etc
  2. Are riders still on minimum 2pt average this year or has this been increased back to 3pt minimum, some confusion as some people have said to me its minimum 3 now ?
  3. I dont think they will be cast aside just looks like their averages will be increased to 3
  4. Yes I know which is why its confusing as thats the figure they finished on but look at the teams one it says please note minimum of 3, just have to wait and see if someone signs a rider under 3 I guess
  5. A lot of people saying and seen on the SGB final published figures that it is a minimum of 3 now which means that it would have to be a 3 and 4.5
  6. If you look on the green sheet averages final figures for 2017 it has a section at the top saying please note maximum average of 12 and minimum of 3 This is where I think people have got it from and thats where Ive seen it myself
  7. Interestingly it seems they have done away with the 2pt reserves, minimum is a 3 now, would You still take JPB on a 3 point average at Berwick ?
  8. I agree need to see what everyone else puts out but this team gets me excited about speedway at Scunny again, like you say Worrall and Allen are great signings expect Allen to up his average to around 7.5 maybe more. Josh Auty was poor start of last season but towards the end after his retirement and come back he was back to his old self and banging in big scores, if we get this Josh then he could realistically put a point on his average. Stefan is in the main body but he is too good for his average we have him on a bargain average imo and I think him and Allen will make mockeries of their starting averages as the second strings in the team. My worry is Garrity but if we get the Garrity of Sheffield two years ago I think its a formidable team

  10. Interesting thing I just noticed on SGB website where they have released the averages for 2018 is that there is a maximum of 12 and minimum of 3 so does this mean all guys with under a 3 are now assessed up to a 3?
  11. Next 3 announced at midnight so not long to wait! My guesses are: Stevie Worrall Lyager Mountain Although I think it will more likely be Berge or Garrity in place of Lyager
  12. I think Auty and Allen are great signings like youve said and think Worrall would be as well, would definitely like to see Stefan back but cant see Lewis Kerr coming back to Scunthorpe, the only 2 that will be back are the two that have signed I think!
  13. 2018 team building averages havent been released on SGB site yet, the last average on the site for Josh Auty was 6.95 but his average for start of 2018 will be 6.90 so will have to wait for these before knowing if that team fits
  14. Yeah would really like Mountain at reserve. If we can get Lyager think it would be like the Nick Morris signing in 2012 could easily put two points on his average and take us to challenge for the league title. Wouldnt touch Wilkinson after what he was like last year, with the 10.17 it depends on who we go for wouldnt mind trying to get Ellis Perks or Matt Williamson back both have come on massively in the last year and I would think about Stefan Neilsen again. Heard a lot about this Pontus Gaard he could be a good shout alongside Ellis Perks
  15. I think youll be wrong on this one, Steve has apparently said that he doesnt want to be riding on a Sunday due to wanting to do Poland and has said that he is joining a club in the Championship a lot closer to home apparently, lets wait and see but really think he will be at the EWR next year
  16. Great start to the team I think with Jake and Josh signed, hopefully get the number 1 everyone is talking about in Stevie Worrall then need to finish it off well and think we can challenge 1 - Worrall - 9.02 2. - Allen - 6.08 3. - Auty - 6.90 4. 5. - Lyager - 7.00 6. 7. - Mountain - 3.33 Would like to see Lyager return and on his 7 he could very easily be battling Jake Allen and Stevie for the number 1 berth. Mountain always looked a decent rider and think he would be a good addition at reserve seems to like the big tracks. Would leave us 10.17 for the final two, would definitely have Stefan Neilsen on a 5.53 leaving 4.64 for the final rider, which I really dont know who I would want for that average at the moment although might have slightly more of Mountain got a reduction for being a brit
  17. Two signings being announced today, whats everyones guesses mine are: Auty or Stevie Worrall Jake Allen
  18. Was chatting to someone about this the other day and would love to see Stevie back at the EWR. I think JPB is nailed on to be at Berwick this year but I think a new 2 pointer is something we need. Berge is a worry for me after the way he was last year Id want something like this 1. Worrall - 9.02 2. Allen - 6.08 3. Auty - 6.95 4. Neilsen - 5.53 5. Lyager - 7.00 6. Perks - 5.08 or Gaard -5.00 7. Jenkins or Brennan 2.00 41.66 with Perks or 41.58 with Gaard, dont know much about Gaard although someone mentioned him on here the other day or could potentially try Broc Nicol, thoughts ?
  19. I think keeping 15 riders is right having a wildcard in each round who is local is great for local support. What I would do is similar to you, where there are no wildcards but have like a SGP2 series, which is raced in the same format as the SGP over x amount of rounds, this series has 16 of the best riders who arent in the GPs each year the top 7 in the SGP2 replace the bottom 7 in the SGP and go from there. Would be great for younger talent like Lebedevs, Milik, Drabik etc as would give them experience of the SGP and would solve the controversy of wildcards.
  20. Yes I would say that would be pretty dam strong, Howarth always goes well at EWR so if and it's a big if you can convince him then he's a good number 1 Josh has had a tough year but the last few weeks has been riding very well, move to number 3 and keep riding the way he is he should be back to his 8 point average Jake Allen has really been impressing recently so have no qualms about him and calling a rider like Lyager average I guess you haven't been looking at continental scores and the world U-21s as he is anything but average!
  21. I would like to see something like this at Scunthorpe next year and think it could make for a team that can challenge next year 1. Kyle Howarth - 8.52 2. Jake Allen - 6.08 3. Josh Auty - 6.88 4. Stefan Neilsen - 5.53 5. Andreas Lyager - 7.00 6. Ellis Perks - 5.22 7. Josh Bailey - 2.70 I think this would be a very strong team, would be good to see Ellis Perks back at Scunny and him and Neilsen would swap at reserve during the season, team fits under 42 and we would have an out and out number 1 in Howarth and then a brilliant back up in Lyager! Fingers crossed for something like this next year
  22. I agree we need a refresh of the team but saying a rider like Lyager wouldn't be what we need is a little bit short sited in my opinion. He is a racer will come in on a 7 point average and has been mixing it with the big boys in the world Under 21 Final was only out scored by a few the other night and actually out scored Holder, Drabik, Kubera, he also equaled Kacper Woryna's score. To get Lyager back for next year I think would be one of the biggest coups the Scorpions have pulled off since signing Morris in 2012!
  23. Should be a good meeting tonight, hopefully the weather stays nice for it. Should be a tight meeting but hopefully Scunny can get another win, Jake Allen will be a big miss but I'm sure the boys can get another away win
  24. I wonder if the delay has anything to do with Wilko's tweet below! "Well could Ave been brilliant but come crashing down in the final hours 😕. On the up side gonna put some laps in this next week👌"
  25. I hope we sign Lyager back think he has so much potential and look what he's doing in the world U-21'a, he will make a mockery of his assessed 7 and become a full asset as well I wouldn't mind Luke Becker as the other, looked good in the SWC winning a race against some top opponents and would come in on a 5
