  1. I think it comes down to skill, confidence, and the size of ones nads most of the time. I know TJ likes it grippy, he says it's easier to set the bike up. There seems to be a fine line setting a bike up, you can of course change the gearing, changing the jetting, going a little bigger will flatten the power a tad, if your spinning to much, retarding the timing will do the same, going the other way will make it a bit sharper. If the tracks slick you can move the rear wheel forward for a little extra grip, or move the wheel back if its grippy. All of these can "overlap" a bit so it can be hard getting it spot on. Hence why you sometimes see teams struggle at the start of meetings. Having said that, Lynn has been grippy for years and Neils has been great. Maybe at nearly 37 he is not prepared to risk it as much these days. He deffo don't look as confident as he used at the AFA .
  2. It's a bit of a funny one for me if i'm honest. I know he has been loyal over the years. While I wouldn't like another team to benefit form his lowish average, he has looked very tentative at times this season and it isn't like him at all, he used to ride Lynn with such confidence Something isn't right, but I guess only he knows the problem might be. He should be ripping it up in this league. Would I have him back in 2019. I would, but would want to hear from him first as to why his form/confidence seems to have gone missing at times. Surely his shoulder is ok now ?. Is he just on the slide a tad at nearly 37. Slow bikes ? Who knows.
  3. NEW FOR 2019 !!!! Will be available at the Poole track shop for £1.99, or free pair with every season ticket.
  4. Ermm… Morris 6.91 was effective from 1st Oct until the end of the season I thought.. No meetings in Nov, but there was still meetings to be run in Oct Anyway it's done now.
  5. I don't blame Lynn or Poole. It's the people that run the sport that allowed it to happen
  6. Don't matter who proposed it, it shouldn't of been allowed to happen is my gripe. Not Lynn or Poole's fault it was allowed.. I believe Morris had an average of 6.91 at the time of the meeting. His average was due to drop below 6.75 after the season had finished. The season hadn't finished
  7. Luck and injuries aside, it's speedway and things like that happen I guess. It's the Morris bit that gets me. A rule that's probably been in place and followed for I don't know 10 or 20 years maybe can be ignored once for 1 team in the most important meeting of the year is just wrong.. and should not of been allowed to happen... Lynn v Poole...The Pirates have 1 rider out and are allowed Morris 6.91 for Kurtz 6.75. Lynn v Somerset cup final....Rebels have 4 riders out . They use C. Wright for BWD at home, but can't use him in the 2nd leg because he don't fit.. BWD 5.22 and Wright 5.27.. I know 2 wrongs don't make a right, but what a shower of rubbish the powers that be are..
  8. You can't have NKI, Wright or Covatti…. I have them in my Lynn 2019 line up Just for a bit of fun. I doubt the averages will be the same. Lambo 9.31 Riss 6.08 C. Wright 5.27( Somerset probably) R. Worrall 5.81 NKI 7.36 N .Covatti 4.70 S. Neilsen 3.67 42.49
  9. I remember Mel Taylor had tassels. John Davis was another colourful chap in his pink and white kit.
  10. Points money all the way through the team imho. More to " better" riders, but pay as you earn all the way..
  11. Nice little compact stadium. Needs a better track, but you don't have much room. Mind you there ain't as much passing these days, anywhere. BV excluded. Your track is listed as 317 m. So you would have to go smaller.. Maybe take 25m off of the inside of the bends and bank it to the max allowed (can't remember how much) making it 292m Remember Coventry was only 301m and didn't ride like a small track.
  12. The sport has more tossers than a granny convention on pancake day..
  13. Just for a bit of fun. I doubt the averages will be the same. Lambo 9.31 Riss 6.08 C. Wright 5.27( Somerset probably) R. Worrall 5.81 NKI 7.36 N .Covatti 4.70 S. Neilsen 3.67 42.49
  14. My fear would be that Lewis may have had a crash to many. I hope i'm wrong. I also think that a stronger reserve is needed. Stefan or Kasper, but not both.
  15. No thoughts on my post above SS? Mind you I did say sensible, maybe that's why. I guess it's hard to debate with something that is correct. You would make a good politician I congratulated Poole on the night !! I have not gave all the excuses above either ! Well done Poole on winning the 2018 Prem
