Hopefully not too much longer... looking forward to seeing how things go this year in the nl
-
Is there a date set for any announcements? Fixtures? What teams are competing? Etc... Not long now until the season starts... Just to know what the confirmed teams are would be nice...
-
5.61 left as far as I can tell 1. Jason Crump 12.00 2. Zach Cook 4.00 3. 4. Dillon Ruml 4.00 5. Bjarne Pedersen 10.37 6. Alfie Bowtell 3.02 7. Henry Atkins (2*) Total: 33.39

Mickie Simpson perhaps? Is luke Whitehead still knocking around? Although he might be too old by now!! Not a teenager
-
As far as I'm aware, if the rules are the same as they were in 2020, the lower limit in the NL is 3.00, which is kinda stupid if they are wanting to bring new kids in to race, they look way more attractive to teams on a 2.00 than a 3.00. Things might change for this season though? And I hope they do

Whoops No, I've just been using the same spreadsheet for the NL teams as I have the CL teams and not moved the sum total cell to include all 7 riders, only the top 6 (Yes, I'm sad enough to make a spreadsheet this year, because there doesn't seem to be anywhere that displays all the teams, not even the official speedway gb website!!) FINE!! 9.67 left for the last rider. How about Jack Smith and Kieran Douglas. 1. Max Clegg 2. Archie Freeman (Ryan MacDonald) 3. Josh Embleton 4. Joe Alcock 5. Jack Smith 6. Kieran Douglas (Archie Freeman) 7. Danny Smith As I say, all will be revealed

Well if the limit IS 35 points, I'll take this team to watch every Sunday evening thank you very much 1. Max Clegg 10.14 2. Joe Alcock 4.36 3. David Wallinger 3.87 4. Josh Embleton 4.83 5. Leon Flint 8.80 6. Danny Smith 3.00 7. Archie Freeman 3.00 Total: 35.00 exactly Don't see it anywhere that Leon is with Armadale again? But if he is I'm sure there's many other options with the 8.80 left... James Sarjeant for example? Two big hitters will help the kids (And Wallinger) along nicely. Tom Perry (8.50) would be a welcome addition for me as I've always enjoyed watching him, but I'm not sure if he rides anymore??? He will bring a lot of experience to the side at this level too.

BRILLIANT NEWS!! Not only does this mean that we must be riding in the league itself rather than the trophy, it means the Max can be more involved within the club, which can only be a good thing. Nice to see Danny, Josh and Archie all getting team places, being Newcastle born and bred and good to see club asset Joe getting a team place. Wonder if Josh out performs Joe in the Gems how long Joe will last as the Diamonds' number 7? A lot of pressure and friendly rivalry in the team, which is good. 1. Max Clegg 10.14 2. Josh Embleton 4.83 3. 4. Joe Alcock 4.36 5. 6. Danny Smith 3.00 7. Archie Freeman 3.00 Total: 22.33 Left: ?.?? The main question is now. What is the points limit, and how much do we have left to play with for the final 2 riders. Personally would like to see Jamie Halder back, but not sure whether that'll happen, all will come clear soon I'm sure. P.S. THJ, you got any clues?

What I want to know, is what is the rumoured team points limit for the NL this season? I've heard it's dropping, but to what?
-
Gonna turn 22 before the season... Here's more info about him https://www.speedwaybikes.com/rw/udillonruml.htm
-
I know... but it still wouldn't make for safe or interesting nl meetings Genuinely hope this is true. I do like northside and visited a lot when the Bickleys were in charge
-
When/where did he say that? Just curious
-
Both would do a decent job at this level... excited to see who it is
-
No it's safe for 125s/250s but not 500s imo... not four 500s in one race anyway
-
What about Austin novratil or sebastian palmese?
-
I know that. It's a decent little track, been there many, many times... but I feel british youth round are all it should handle. National league meetings are a different thing all together... would be good to see but I just dont see it happening. I assume the track dimensions are legal in terms of the rules, but safe and interesting? Probably not
-
Also duns is the other training track up here... and it's just as small
-
If Northside opened a nl side it would be carnage... its TINY would only get like 100-200 spectators at most too and the car park is basically non existent Is this new track a NEW track to any league racing or just new to the nl? Sounds like the nl may be a decent size then?
-
Ah yes kent too... so theres 8? Anymore?
-
So who are the rumoured 7-8 teams. Obviously mildenhall and isle of wight. I assume armadale, Bellevue and leicester will be back. Newcastle have started building their nl side... but will that be in the league or trophy? Eastbourne are rumoured. Anyone else?
-
1. Jason Crump 12.00 2. Zach Cook 4.00 3. Joel Andersson/Zach Wajtknecht 4. James Sarjeant 3.90 5. Bjarne Pedersen 10.37 6. Alfie Bowtell 3.02 7. Henry Atkins (2*) Total: 33.29 5.71 Left for number 3 position... Not a bad looking team at all considering how late they had to start and they will have A LOT of points to play with once Jason and Bjarne get their proper averages... If Todd Kurtz could be tempted back to the sport he could fit at number 3 too
-
Well, he'd be a bit daft to turn it down as it's now lost him a team place and what's the disadvantage to NOT being on the scheme? He can still ride not as a rising star, it just widens his chances of a team place
-
3.02 (His 3.10 Eastbourne average - 2.5%)
-
I thought so too, but hasn't he moved down south now? Which makes it a little less likely... Connor Coles or Jack Smith would be nice to see... Has Kye or Lasse been signed up elsewhere in Europe?
-
Not saying he should be one, but how is he not if Josh Bates is?
