  1. But no guarantee riders will accept , would have to be hopeful of goodwill from any Newcastle riders.
  2. Serious point here what happens if you suffer injuries in the first match .
  3. It doesn't matter how much spin you put on it, it's not going to go away and should your season finish with more trophies , any gained in 2018 will be seen as a very hollow victory and looked on with disdain from the rest of British speedway fans .
  4. So perhaps if what you are saying is correct why did Godfrey re-instate Phillips then as you are implying he didn't have to .
  5. He didn't force Godfrey to take him back , Godfrey didn't follow the rules and if he wanted to release him , then he should have done it the proper way before the cut off date or does Godfrey think that rule doesn't apply to him . I hope, Danny carries on and can score a point or two , but doubt it as his confidence must be very low,.If anybody is to blame it's not Danny , try blaming Godfrey and tell him the rule applies to all championship teams including Scunthorpe.
  6. I have to say although I wasn't there I really wouldn't know how badly the track was (doctored) but when 1 of your own supporters Stewmac makes a statement like that you have to wonder just what is going on and as your management already made a statement pre meeting suggesting they were going to shock Lakeside with an extra grippy track . You can hardly call that a trackstaff mistake can you.
  7. This believe it is a comment from an Edinburgh supporter. Looks like Edinburgh wanted to win at all costs. Shocking statement from a home fan .
  8. No chance of either of them two riders missing the gate , having engine failures or falling then , might point is you just don't know what could of happened, but you've made your mind up as you know best.
  9. BSPA will be thinking what's forethought got to do with it, when there was five of us that made the decision to cancel meetings.
  10. Good job you're season ticket is not for Lakeside then.
  11. Maybe because it was something totally different and unconventional at the time it also meant that referees had an extra workload with the possibility of rider's taking both wheels onto tarmac track and trying to get away with it hoping it would go un-noticed. Other than that no problems for me. Any news on the Lakeside v Peterborough rearranged fixture date yet .
  12. Congratulations to both sets of riders for giving it a go , does anybody want more proof , correct decision.
  13. Well he would wouldn't he, amazing how Berwick fans, can say they have been robbed of an away result when they are only leading by 4 points after 6 races , in one race the scores could have been level, your own rider won heat 6 3 seconds slower than the previous race which tells me the track was rideable but not raceable , so what do Berwick fans want , a win at any cost with possible injuries to riders . I know I would prefer to see good racing rather than riders risking life and limbs just to please a few disgruntled fans.
  14. How many years constitutes a small trophyless nap then .
  15. Thanks for you're support. Have you noticed how well east Anglian teams are doing Panthers topping the championship , Kings Lynn topping the premiership and Mildenhall running away with national league , shame Ipswich letting the region down , well there's always next year I suppose.
  16. As there will be less teams involved with meetings at that stage there will a better choice of options for guest riders .
  17. So we could use Jorgensen as a guest at Workington a week tomorrow. Thanks for clearing that one up Neil , sounds like a plan to me.
  18. Well it's only a couple of weeks ago that Lakeside had booked Steve Worrall to guest for the sick Richard Lawson at Workington and on arrival discovered that they couldn't use him because of the 8 day rule and then had to revert to R/R at NO;1.
  19. Forget the above we can't use Jorgensen at Workington as he will be there with Redcar the week before so the 8 day rule will apply which means back to the drawing board , as I see it David Bellego could be one of the better options if available as there is very little else we can turn to. I suppose Lasse Bjerre would be available though as at present he hasn't a British club the only other rider maybe worth a shout is Jake Allen and he certainly owes Panthers after his last guest booking at the showground.
  20. It could turn out to be a very shrewd move Panthers may have offered him the chance to ride at Workington the following Friday where I believe he can be very good around derwent park and as there will be 6 championship teams in action that night booking him early could be a bonus.
  21. Scotty is on a 2 year deal but still wouldn't rule out bomber coming back though.
  22. What's wrong with it as it brings some comedy into the thread perhaps the Scotsman should apply for a BSPA job.
