  1. I don't understand either why there is very little shale on the showground track , it definitely spoils the entertainment value when it's bare of shale .Someone told me the last delivery of shale they had was delivered prior to the 4's meeting in 2016 . I honestly don't know how they have got away with it for so long and is cheating the fans at what should be an exciting arena that has the capacity to thrill spectators instead of just gate and go with very little outside overtaking , or is it a new ploy to fool the opposition if it is it certainly backfired against Workington.
  2. I believe they have a different federation and are not in agreement for some reason or other with U/k taking priority over riders from the Czech republic for domestic fixtures. That is only part of it as I still don't understand why U/K can't allow guests to cover, unless its the ACU that will not accept it
  3. I believe this rule regarding Czech riders has been in place for several years and also effects 1 or 2 other eastern European countries, no idea why there couldn't have been an agreement , it's just a shambles that any team that has this circumstance will have to suffer the consequences by being forced to bring in a N.L rider thus robbing the fans by weakening there team and making them less competitive . Surely it's about time the BSPA /SCB recognised this problem instead of sweeping it under the carpet . They should be trying to increase crowd levels in the U/K not driving fans away. I think the problem on reflection may have something to do with Czech's and a few others are not members of the ACU which is our governing body, so any change of ruling must be put before them.
  4. Perhaps Carl Johnson's statement before the start of the season makes more sense now (we have a plan A and a plan B .
  5. The idea is to get the best riders at the start of the season and not to wait until new averages are introduced . I don't think Panthers management have read the script though.
  6. I hope not as well , Panthers should have learned a lesson with him, from last season.
  7. Get MPT to guest for you he's in great form at the moment (18 point max v Edinburgh on Sunday) and i'm sure he will put on a good show after being ditched by Scunny for this season.
  8. Shouldn't be a problem with Proctor in the form of his life , Klindt knows pretty well how to ride the track there you have a solid NO1 in Bach , you will have to use R/R for Bewley and need to get Aarnio to guest at reserve for BWD ,who got a hat full of points there last week riding for Newcastle I think Comets could carry on from where they left off at Glasgow , perhaps not as spectacularly as tthey have won there last 2 away meetings but with confidence running sky high I can't see Scunthorpe stopping them .
  9. I believe they have actually made the decision(s) after the Friday night defeat but have not gone public until everything is in place.
  10. Maybe they will wait until after Saturday's fixture against Newcastle before any possible changes will take place , thus giving riders one last chance it also gives them more time to get new rider(s) in place should they wish to make changes.
  11. You are not alone a lot of others thought the same, just not cutting it at the showground for some reason .
  12. Lunna for me is the main weakness averaging 3.75 at home in 4 meeting is well below par, first priority IMO
  13. If they intend to strengthen up it's the ideal time as long as there are riders available around with the right credentials 0.66 available to maximise upto 42.50 and a 2.00 reduction for Nicholls would suggest it's a golden opportunity.
  14. You would know all about the kiddie rides then , i'd keep quiet about that if I was you.
  15. Swings and roundabouts , Ipswich were in the same position at the start of the season with Danyon Hume who came in at 2.00 as he had not completed his 4 home and 4 away .
  16. Adam Roynon would not be an improvement on Simon Lambert . Greaves not too sure if there would be any improvement there either.
  17. Lunna came in with a 5.90 average , he has done well away from home but looks very poor around the showground and Lambert I am sorry to say[ he's had plenty of chances and has had the luxury of a reserve spot but this season has done very little to warrant a team place. Grondal started off the season brilliantly but in the last 2 matches has tailed off and I understand in the last 2 matches he has blown 2 engines. Panthers look very suspect at home at the moment and unless they make some changes then I can see 2/3 more home losses and I think if the right riders can be found then they should make changes.
  18. Do the showground management stop them from purchasing a delivery of shale to store so it can be used when required , are we in a position where we can purchase Mick Horton's cast off riders but can't afford to buy shale.
  19. I don't believe Tigers can ride as bad as Panthers Friday night's performance, they were an absolute disgrace.
  20. Sounds about right having no fresh shale down will only help Monarchs , all they have to do is outgate Panthers and the meeting is in the bag . It's laughable really having very little shale on what is supposed to be a racers track and that's not down to the riders just shear bad management
  21. I sat within a close distance from the starting line and Panthers were outgated everytime in the 1st 6 races and there was only a couple of times in the later heats that they managed to be on a par with Comets riders . Worky were very good value, rode the track conditions superbly while Panthers riders looked to have totally lost the plot. How on earth you couldn't see this is beyond belief.
  22. We don't want him back he misses to many meetings and had we have wanted him we could have had him at the start of the season , great at reserve but put him in the top 5 and you would see the difference, but good luck to him where ever he lands up eventually.
  23. Well done Workington very impressive worthy winners who just blew away an ill prepared spineless display from Panthers riders ,Ged said mid meeting that it was just not good enough and apologised for the inept display . He needs to take into account that what goes on with the riders also reflects on the management , for example the track seemed devoid of shale making it hard work for any rider to come from the back as the showground is supposed to be a racers track why is there so little shale on it. So we sign a team of supposed racers and give them very little shale to race on , if this is how they want to carry on either get a decent surface of shale down or perhaps we should have signed a team of gaters This is not an excuse it's a complaint the management would do well to take notice of as fans wont keep turning up to listen to apologies . It's no good just blaming the riders every time they suffer home defeats ,management should also look at themselves and try and work where they are also going wrong. Fans will soon get to the point where there is no point if management can't be bothered why should the fans. This was the worst performance that I can ever remember witnessing and I have been supporting them since they were established in1970 and quite frankly it was embarrassing
