Hi Mad Moose, there will be discount tickets for fans on the Wightlink ferries and we have just begun to speak with a bus company also. So it is in hand and once the details are confirmed they will be announced. As for crowds, well, the more the better. But we will be working really hard to gain as many fans through the gates as we can. Andy -

Alex, although George has been racing other motorcycle disciplines since 2007, he has not done any speedway. So although he has much experience from his younger days, being at No.8 means he can now gain much needed track time and practice with very little pressure to get back into it. Andy -

SPEEDWAY PORTAL is very proud to announce it's second sponsored rider, former POOLE PIRATES and current LEICESTER LIONS and SOMERSET REBELS rider PAUL STARKE. Paul's media channel is now live inside the riders section on SPEEDWAY PORTAL. All of the Portal team are incredibly excited to be working alongside not only a fantastic rider, but the whole of the Starke Racing team. Welcome Paul. Andy -

Hi 21st, appreciate your comments. The logo has caused many comments, this is a good question to put to the promoters. With regards moving images on website, are you referring to the website or the media channel? This has been suggested earlier on this thread and the Portal is making changes to cut down on that. HI Ben, there are many many benefits for riders having media channels, regardless of age, experience or level. I'd be happy to discuss that on the Portal thread if you would like to know more about it. What I would say though for both riders and teams of all levels, there is much worth in many areas. Andy -

Morning guys. Just wanted to share my general thoughts respectfully on a couple of things if I may. I appreciate that certain riders may not be everyone's "cup of tea", but especially in light of last seasons incidents on track, these riders, whoever they are, go out and yes whilst trying to make a living, risk their lives at the same time to try and provide entertainment for the fans. In my book that in itself should warrant just a tad more respect by some than has been shown to some riders mentioned on this thread, and in others too across the forum. Sure, I understand people have judgments on team signings, but lets voice our concerns respectfully not only the riders, but the other members of the forum reading as well. Let alone the riders family and friends who may be reading these threads. It is my hope to bring the fans closer to the riders and promoters, Expressing opinions disrespectfully in this manner is the route of the cause that has created the divide between the fans and riders/promoters in the first place. Andy Morning Ben91, can I ask why you think it's odd for a third tier rider to have a media channel? Thanks Andy -

Hey John, yes well corrected there. And again, I hold my hands up to the spelling mistake on the website earlier as well, it was corrected soon after it went live. Mistakes are always going to happen John, but we are a team on and off track and help each other in our tasks. Have you any specific comments that can help us improve our website rather than a general dislike to the design etc? Thanks Andy -

Hey guys, sorry I have been quiet for a couple of days on here. As the account is new I have to earn the credentials it would seem to post more often I have made a note of all your questions/opinions etc and will look into them. Yes, Matt Saul has just been announced as Wightlink Warriors 3rd signing on a 3.00 average. He joins Brendan Johnson (6.21) and James Cockle (8.59). Hi John, still not liking the site then? It is a working progress, we'll get there. I've spent a lot of time around Brendan recently setting up his media channel. He's pretty hungry and up for it guys. And remember he's still only 23, so plenty of fuel left in that tank. Andy -

You may, but I fear request denied springs to mind. Although, If you came from Kent I would personally shake your hand and buy you a drink! -
Hi everyone, just introducing myself. I'm Andy, an official member of the Wight Warriors off track team. Some of you may already know of me through my work at Speedway Portal. The forums give the fans a voice, but we would like to give you an ear to listen to that voice. So please, feel free to offer your opinions on all matters relating to Isle Of Wight WIGHTLINK WARRIORS in 2016 here, and I will do my best to answer those that I can, and I will present some of those questions to our promotion also for replies from them. I will always be respectful, listen and take all of your comments into consideration moving forward. Whether you are a fan of the club, another club fan or a speedway fan in general. Many thanks. Andy
