Kim Nilsson has signed to ride again for Vagarna in the Swedish 2nd tier next year. I believe they race on Thursdays, which would make it tricky for him to fit in with us next season if this fixed race night thing actually happens?

Seemed to be a few riders having the odd 'moment' near the air fence on turn 4!

Racing was better, closer, last week against Rye. Last heat was a great race though. Plus any race with Dan Bewley in at Beaumont Park is worth watching. What a talented young rider he is.

Thought that we'd have had ex-lion Paul Starke lined up along time ago for this fixture as Newman's replacement. Surprised he's lining up for Belle Vue. Missed a trick there.

Nooo. We'll be finishing bottom & riding against Ipswich. That way our captain for the season can captain his other side for the season and contribute to relegating/promoting one of the teams he captains' for. Easy eh?

Could be wrong but I don't reckon the generosity of the Lions promotion lends itself to a programme being thrown in. Then again I haven't bought a programme at a meeting since 1983

When Kasprzak made a clear gate in heat 6, with Nicholls behind him, he was fine, completely confident. However when Lions riders' were close enough to dive under him, you could see him back right off, not wanting to race. Strange one because I've seen him be dominant around Beaumont Park. Sure he'll make enough gates for you to score plenty though.

The incident was right in front of me, felt bomber tried just a little too hard, definitely carried too much speed into turn 3. No other choice I feel other than for the ref to exclude him. Good last few heats made up for pretty pedestrian racing in the first half of the meeting anyways. A good win for a sort of Lions team!

I could be wrong but isn't a promotion/ relegation type thing supposed to be occurring at the end of the season? If we were to be relegated, I don't think we'd be able to keep any of the current team!
