It gets more confusing every minute. I agree when you posted the above it did say the effective date was 26 may. But now the latest issue (8) shows the effective date as the 1st june. So Ash should still be at reserve this weekend. http://speedwaygb.co/files/downloads/c18_gs_issue_8.pdf I've no idea what the difference is between "Championship Issue *" and "championship greensheet issue *" is but championship greensheet issue 7 seems to have disappeared from the download list.

Scorpions vs Comets - Championship 18.05.18
leander replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Interesting. BWD not riding because he's riding in a FIM qualifier in Denmark on Saturday. Tero Aarnio guests in his place then flies to ITALY! to ride in a FIM qualifier also on Saturday (before flying back to Newcastle on Sunday. Need to question someone's commitment to the team here (even if it is allowed under the rules). -
Not really. It could be as late as Sunday morning. as long as Berwick agree to it as Steve says. As long as he has a license recognised by the british authorities. The official redeclaration won't need to be made until 72 hours before the Redcar match on the 27th. There's been no announcement as to who we are using as guests on Saturday at Peterborough yet, apart from possibly Paul Starke (though he has to be doubtful after his recent spills). we are missing Tero as well for that match.

Scorpions vs Comets - Championship 18.05.18

Err. Aren't Workington doing exactly that this Saturday by cancelling this weeks fixture? -
Glasgow v Workington 13th May 4pm

And Poland (Lublin I believe) , and shortly Sweden. He's already said he won't do Championship this year because of his continental commitments. You'd be surprised how many polish fixtures are on Friday and Saturday this year. -
I'm with you. He's not worth the effort.

I've no idea. But he was GTR's for most of last season (the ones that are "supposedly" indestructable), Gm's this season so they aren't that old even if they were last years. i would suspect, like most riders, they were serviced/ rebuilt over the winter for the start of the new season, if not new. I'd be gobsmacked if they were just left in a shed for 5 months then just dusted off for the start of the season. That would be just like Ferrari parking their F1 car in a container and rolling it out for the first GP. It ain't gonna happen.
-
Well after Berwick he said on his facebook page "That's another engine gone to the angels" so I would assume that at least two of them have been write-offs.
-
Josh Embleton? Archie!!!
-
Seven to be exact before Sunday. And three blown motors so that's at least two grand per match. I would say that's pretty tough at any level.
-
He never said anyone was soon to sign for us. Just that the lineup for the Berwick match would be interesting. It's a challenge match so either team can, in theory, use whoever they want as long as both clubs agree. It needn't necessarily be a new signing. It could just be a quality guest. If Newcastle have got someone lined up to sign I wouldn't expect it to be announced until it's been ratified by the BSPA. Since there seems to be nothing happening before the Scunthorpe match I don't expect anything until the weekend at the earliest. It would appear whoever (if) is unavailable for Friday. To redeclare before hand, if this is so, would mean having to use a National league guest at Scunthorpe.

It was announced several time on Sunday that our next home fixture was 20 May v Berwick in the 2nd leg tyne-tweed trophy. Yet :- It is not shown on the SGB website fixture list. Today's (tuesday) weekly round up on same website shows next home fixture as the 27th May v Redcar The NEWCASTLE website home page shows the 27 May v Redcar as the next home fixture It is not shown on the Newcastle website fixture list either. !!?? and they'll wonder why the crowd level is so poor.!

Aye. But it was the right decision. Heeps got up and made no effort to clear the track seeing Pickering was 3rd so getting the race stopped. I thought the ref was a bit premature in awarding heat 2. At the time it wasn't inconceivable that Ash would of passed Hume. Some people were saying we would of lost if King had been riding. I'm not so sure Haertel would have been there as well, and I very much doubt he would have got anywhere near Pickering's 9+1. As for Ludvig losing to Schlein, well Schlein is riding like a No1 in the Premiership never mind our league. Matty might not have scored anything last night but he did a good job on Schlein into bend 1 in heat 13 to allow Ludvig to get away. If nothing else last night showed the drop in averages is doing us no favours in the choice of guests available. We need to replace Lewis (hopefully with some quality) sooner rather than later, and possibly even Robbo on a temp contract.
-
Me neither, unless it's a 28 day contract for Robbo. As I see Rye House aren't expecting him back this month
-
Don't you mean "averages for MAY 5 to MAY 06. Last year they changed every fortnight and they deemed that to be too much so this year they've (supposedly) gone back to once a month, yet they've changed 3 times already since 30 April. BONKERS.

Because we need someone around 7.5 to 8.5 not 3.00 to 4.5

Scorpions vs Redcar 4.5.18 Championship
leander replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Could also have been nobody else wanted it. -
Rumoured that there's a bad batch of GM's floating around that are blowing up because they're faulty. Have heard that Summers has been GIVEN a new one from GM because of this. I've no idea how true this is.

Except he's missing for most of May at least.
