I didn't see the GP but if Hancock pulled out halfway through, technically is there not a "remainder of the season" in the rest of that meeting? Either way, all this grin nonsense in front of the cameras has always put me off Hancock and some of the things he's done in the past year have just increased that. Great rider, huge respect for the length of time he's competed at the very top level, but for me the sooner he retires the better.

Remember being there for the opening night and some of the finals in the NL days and they had excellent crowds, real shame that they've fallen so low since then and been put in this position. Real shame for Doyle, been great to see him having such a good year and would have been a deserving world champion, now it looks like he may not even finish in the top 3. Hopefully he recovers well and comes back stronger next year.

In the interests of fairness, and given that he didn't quite do enough meetings to attain a true average this season, it should be allowed that a new average is given based upon his 2016 Elite League form. 5 points from 5 rides therefore means that Antonio Lindback is now available on an average of 4.
