  1. So if Lambert and/or Doyle find themselves unfit for Saturday before meeting, replacements can be parachuted into their place with Jury's permission and it isn't a case of reserve moving up, and who do we think these would be? King or Nicholls for GB, Sam Masters or Brady K for Oz?
  2. If Britain finish fourth at King's Lynn, does that mean they'd have to pre-qualify next year?
  3. Pretty sure Nathan Greaves average is too high to guest now.
  4. Unfair as some of the Dirt blogs are good stuff and anyway it is at least original, what we want is the newsletter back.
  5. Would have been a better shout if Worrall hadn't got a higher average than Garrity and anyway, does Stevie still do league matches, or just things like the British Final?
  6. Joe Jacobs was certainly OK on Saturday as he beat Doolan twice, Kyle Newman, Seb Alden and Thomas Jorgensen. He also beat the tremendous Barker, but that was in the race Ben was off 15m and could only finish second to Joe, having overhauled the other two.
  7. We saw Luke Ruddick at KD/DO with a huge bandage on his hand and arm, is this the Berwick hoodoo striking again?
  8. Whaaaaat? This Keith person, the 'brand manager' responsible for marketing of the Witches' product, has gone on Twitter and is telling customers to stay at home tonight?. Sounds like he's a probably about to become the ex-brand manager.
  9. I was told on Saturday night by a senior Bandits official they hadn't wanted to go to Ipswich tomorrow, but had their arms twisted at BSPA level. Even then, although they knew Nick Morris would be at Swindon they agreed without knowing Bridger, Gappmaier and Payne wouldn't be there. Like this poster said don't be too critical of Berwick.
  10. In fact it is less as the majority of the folk putting them down are regular track staff who wouldn't be paying in anyway and the offer of free admission is just for extra labour. What is strange here is that several posters are so enthusuastic about putting down the idea and explaining why covers wont work on their track instead of shouting at their promotion to do something about trying them out.
  11. No weather worries at Shielfield Park, Andy -- covers will be down, rain off by early afternoon.
  12. Not even close. Etheridge is a reserve and I'd be pretty sure Howe and Bridger (if fit) would be paired together.
  13. It say in Berwick's programme that rainoff tickets will be honoured at any one future meeting within twelve months. And if Berwick have football every two weeks then it still means that once a fortnight the Bandits will have an advantage over every other speedway in the world if it is raining earlier in the day.
  14. Money talks But it don't sing and dance And it don't walk But it gets decisions
  15. Dany's success today is remarkable given the strength of the opposition, a major achievement for the lad. We are torn between missing him at Ipswich or missing seeing him at the KD-DO on the Saturday, whichever it has to be can't detract from his terrific showing this afternoon.
  16. Serious question with regard to that is, why doesn't a club with Glasgow's financial clout and savvy invest a few hundred quid in track covers to save the thousands a rain-off costs? At Berwick tonight the covers saved the track from the late downpour, rain went off and we saw some awesome racing, despite a heavy defeat and the crashes which weren't caused by the track. This was the third or fourth meeting saved by covers at Shielfield Park this year alone. It took the Tigers five years to catch up with Berwick on foam-fence safety so how long before you get covers?
  17. Saturday was a big relief with a tremendous comeback from six down to ten up over eight races after Doolan and Howe woke up with Nick Morris a total number 1 at last and the covers were again the thing that proved Berwick are the leaders in so many ways. With so many restarts it all took a while to run and we'd have hoped for more interviews during the gaps and wondered what has happened to Steve Hayward?
  18. if ever we had a weather forecast that is shouting for our covers, this is it, with morning rain to clear by late afternoon.
  19. Would be lovely to have him but wont he be riding against Nick Morris at Belle Vue on Friday night although I've heard on the jungle grapevine how his wee brother will be at Shielfield on Saturday at No 1 for Peterburo.
