Swindon v Leicester 12.04.18
Mattfordfan replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The track was clearly unfit for racing. Swindon promotion knew full well what was going to happen. 7.24 No parade due to conditions. 7.29 Mist coming in. Heat 1 Vaculik gets injured and then Meeting abandoned due to an unfit race track. Should never have started and all of this could have been avoided. -

You have agreed with me about the meeting (Should never have started). Therefore the Swindon promotion like every other promotion should have called this meeting off earlier. Now look at what's happened wasn't even a racing incident just Morris struggling to ride an unfit race track. I cant take anything you say seriously either if you are trying to tell me how I watch Speedway. -

Not unfortunately Morris fell off on his own because the track is unsafe. Simple as that. Swindon promotion should know better and should have postponed the meeting earlier today. They have let riders go out on a track that is not fit for racing. Simple as that. Look at all of the other clubs this year calling meeting's off if they think the track isn't fit for racing. -

Meeting should never have started. Morris fell off on his own because the track is s**t. Vaculik then has a suspected broken leg and then surprise surprise meeting off because the track is unsafe. Track was unsafe before Heat 1 and that is the end of the story so why don't you crawl back into your hole. -

If I was Vaculik I would try and sue the Swindon promotion. Meeting should never have started. Best wishes to Martin. -

Seems like I'm the only one who think Rye will win by 10 at least. -
Leicester v Poole SGB Premiership A. 9/4/18
Mattfordfan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
This is one of the very few meeting's I expect us to lose this season. Leicester by 4 or 6 -
Best wishes to Stevie. Was in for a big season imo. Hougaard or Lasse Bjerre as the replacement.

Poole V Wolves SGB PREM A. 4th April 2018
Mattfordfan replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Wolverhampton promotion obviously have no faith in there 1-7. -
Our team is perfectly legal so deal with it. Moan, moan, moan grow up. Kildemand wasn't/isn't a full time GP rider perfectly legal. Kacper Woryna and Mat Szczepaniak have averages they achieved when they last rode over here again perfectly legal. Matt Ford has put together a classy 1-7 that should walk the league and the anti-Poole brigade don't like the fact of that happening.

Should walk this meeting. -
Track time in general. I hope Cookie does well in the GP's but its a tough ask up against world class experienced riders.
-
If you think Cook is going to be competitive in the GP's then you need a re-think. Not being nasty like I said I like Cookie but lets be honest he has no chance of being in the top 8 if Craig is competitive then he's done well.
-
I stuck up for Tungate the other day. My assessment is more than fair. Every rider needs track time and if Cook gets dropped in Poland then track time will become an issue.
-
Not surprised. Cook will struggle this year imo. Lack of meeting's will get to him eventually. I know this sounds silly but I don't think qualifying for the GP's is going to help Cook. Hope I'm wrong because I like Cookie I just worry about his confidence being affected in 2018 due to struggles in the GP's and possibly limited Polish rides due to form outside of the UK.

I wonder if Kennett has quit? Wanted to ride in the Championship but didn't get a ride maybe he cant live on Rye House wages? Seems a strange situation though. Lasse Bjerre to Leicester apparently. So Summers to Rye if rumours are true.
-
Would rather splash the cash on flying Woryna & Szczepaniak in every week from Poland. Instead of spending money on race suits and having poor riders riding poorly in them.
-
Everyone needs to stop overreacting to Tungate's performance imo. Obviously something big went wrong in his first heat. Couldn't fix the problem by his next Heat and got excluded under 2 mins. Then he was virtually playing catch up whilst having problems with his bike/bikes all night long. Just a bad night at the office and tbh its a nothing meeting anyway. All about getting rid of the rust and getting some laps in before the real stuff starts.

Peterborough Panthers 2018
Mattfordfan replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Tbh 3 of the top 4 is already sorted imo. Glasgow, Ipswich and Lakeside wont lose a home meeting all season long imo. But Peterborough could sneak into 4th spot if Sheffield and Scunthorpe don't pull away before the 1st set of GSA's are released. You should win your first 4 home meeting's. Redcar, Workington, Edinburgh & Newcastle then maybe Kennett comes in for MPT.
