my thoughts on what next season should bring. 1 a fair points limit for team building 2run with one league but regionalise into two groups (north and south) as has already been mentioned 3if three leagues again then home and away league meetings to be run at the start of the season with other competitions coming afterwards.this would represent better value for money and keep the season going as this season has been far too short. 4.promoters.please give value for money when purchasing a season ticket.at sheffield the only benefit gained was half price parking.£1 instead of 2.im not asking for the world, just a bit more of an incentive to part up front with my hard earned.maybe a free prog or a cut price one. 5.more of an incentive to entice the younger generation to attend in a time when there are numerous other things for parents to take their kids to.they are the future when all said and done. 6the return of a second half competition.time and weather permitting. 7would love to see a slight price reduction for visiting supporters on production of their season tickets (tried at a few tracks before) 8 would like to see the t.s rule used probably twice in a match or even when the team falls 6 points behind throughout.

i know this may be trivial to a lot of people but just one of my biggest gripes is the lack of medical cover at meetings.a bib dislike of mine, and I'm sure many supporters, is having to wait anything between an hour and an hour and a half for the one ambulance there is to return from the hospital.one ambulance, in a professional sport is really unacceptable.i know of some newbies including ones that i have introduced saying that they would not return because standing around was ludicrous so come on promoters sort out this situation before the die hards also start to get fed up.

in all honesty, if somerset do drop down as is being mooted then i would be very surprised if we see charles back in sheffield colours as it looks like he will be gary may's number one target.i would personally love to see him back as he gives a lot to the side and is capable of much more.classy rider.
-
bit harsh that.would welcome him at sheffield
-
decent enough looking team that .

-
and sheffield fans.why can't we just all be nice to one another for a change.if we can't say something constructive then why bother.

just to say that i found it disappointing that there was no mention at all of charles, kyle and casper riding in the teeside silver helmet meeting at redcar last night.was this meeting deemed not important enough to be worthy of some press.diabolical really.for the record, kyle scored 6 points, charles and casper scored 10 each but missed out in the semi.well done all the lads.

good meeting last night to finish off the season.good effort from the lads last all tried v.hard.well done kasper on another decent performance.special mention to charles who was dynamic.such a class rider when in full flow and was worth admission price alone.we must try and sign him up again for next season along with kyle and kasper and we've now signed zane so then build the team around that four if we can.all in all a v.good nights racing with plenty of passing. -
e.w.r and rub.damn predictive text!

i see on the redcar website that the bears promoter has lodged a complaint over the use of r/r for james shanes who was representing g.b in the world cup long track event.how petty.i wonder if he would have done the same had we not gained a point out of the meeting.for goodness sake and for the sake of the sport either us or the bears are going to finish bottom or next to bottom so is it that important.it,s been a poor league season for both teams and if you are so desperate to not finish bottom then its sad.the meeting at the ear last friday was a cracker and would have probably been less so if a junior would have had to be drafted in.so i am going to be petty now and say that i hope that we now win and that james returns and scores well and we win to really run it in.

so lakeside lakeside, scunny ,redcar and newcastle all rode well and could only beat what was in front of them, well actually, for most part, tigers riders were well behind them.these are teams that last year we were pretty much smashing, particularly at home.with the exception of kyle and to a lesser extent todd and if they would have been off form then we would have been annihilated last night.we did to some extent but could have been even worse.what has happened to the riders gating skills, they seem to have gone awol, for a home team to have to wait until ht13 to get a heat advantage just about sums it up.my verdict on last nights performance jason-poor night by his standards but didn't realise he is carrying an injury so fair enough. todd-i like todd but he seems far too inconsistent for me.v.good rider one minute then average the next. kasper-liked the looks of him and seemed pretty much on the pace.given the circumstances,a fair debut but only time will tell. broc-looked very handy when he first signed but looks to be a confidence rider and looked off the pace last night. kyle-what can you say.led by example, attacked the track, exciting to watch.if it wasn't for him...........well connor-another decent debut, good heat win and mixed it a bit james-another i like but is frustrating to watch.has the capability as we all know. i fear for the meeting next week and for once, in a very long time, am not enjoying speedway a.t.m.am not going to comment on who needs to stay but think that to a degree this team needs tearing apart and onwards and upwards for 2019.
