  1. ?????? This year's regulars are the strongest field in quite a few years. Tho injuries to key players have undermined that quality significantly.
  2. Gets rather tedious listening to him and his parrot prattle on about nothing.
  3. Big fan of Bomber but he has pretty much proved in seasons gone by he is not up to SGP level. If results go outside of existing SGP contenders Jacobsen might be the 'new blood' that many like to see.
  4. The general ineptitude that pervades speedway organisational levels seems well in play here. If the goal of qualifying was to determine the best 15 riders, why would you stack 4 of the 5 top SGP2 (2025 Finals) riders, now with a years more experience, in the one round at Pardubice? Tough draw for the rest of the field, who are right up against the odds here. Similar thing happened earlier this year in the Challenge Quals as well, lopsided events. I realize there would be a draw involved but surely it would make more sense if the higher ranked riders were spread across the qualifiers rather than put in the same one.
  5. Agree on Kubera, he's had his chances at this level and been marginal at best - keeps surviving thru the Challenge Final, but its a bit harsh to be writing off Freddie and Dudek. Freddie, at time of this season's injury , was current World #4 and had scored 12 points in his only 2026 GP opportunity. Dudek, a proven talent at this level as a former GP silver medalist and U21 Champion, found his way back to top form last season as SEC Champion and Polish Extraligue #2. Currently a shade under a 2 point Extraligue Heat Average, he is well up to a podium finish or two in the remaining 5 GP rounds.
  6. Hopefully not the case. If he misses more than the Mallila Round in 3 weeks, that should wrap up the 3 wildcards for 2027 - unlikely then to be a wildcard outside of Bewly, Lindgren, Holder. - Doyley not riding well enough consistently to make the GP7 so this might be his last GP series, unfortunately for a fellow Aussie supporter. Looks to me as early as it is that the top GP7 will come from the current top GP9, unless the injuries that have decimated this year continue and Thomson, who is having a great season, can get a start in all remaining GP's.
  7. I'm way over Kelvin and his parrot prattling on about nothing.
  8. Assuming the meeting does go ahead, does racing in the mud improve Parnitski's chances of scoring points given his gating prowess?
  9. Interestingly, Chris Holder and Jan Kvech are listed among the 8 Admins of the Live Speedway page, via Fakebook Profiles. Maybe they are fake pages also. Rabbit holes getting too deep for me, I'll leave it there.
  10. Has anyone come across this. Posted on a 'Live Speedway' Fakebook page(5.6k members), promoting a supposed stream of the SGP3 events. A FIM Europe banner heads the page and add & is listed as co-Admin. To click on the FIM Europe banner links to a (fake?) FIM site that supports the Live Speedway add and posts different info to the other 2 FIM Europe sites that come up in a Fakebook search. The livestream link leads to a TrustHubMedia site with little info and requiring upfront card payment for an account/subscription. I'm suspecting a fake site, comment anyone? FIM Europe is at Speedway Stadion Pardubice. 11. These kids are the future of speedway, and even the U16s provide great racing and viewing. Absolutely terrible news highlighting yet again the ineptitude of the FIM and associated organizations in managing and promoting the sport.
  12. Anyone got wind of whether Lindgren or Kubera will be back for this?
  13. Janowski currently has a higher Polish Extraligue average than 6 of this years regulars. Good choice in my view, given the Extraligue is clearly the Worlds top league and best guide to current form, especially on Polish tracks.
  14. His lack of competitiveness has drawn a lot of comment in this forum. He's a 19 year old kid, if there's any criticism due its to the clowns who think these youngsters, however brilliant they may be, can make up for the 10+ years more experience and developed reflexes, coordination and racecraft of genuine GP contestants. Hopefully getting beaten half a lap in these events doesn't destroy his confidence and he can continue to develop and capitalize on his enormous natural talent.
  15. He's still only 31 years old. I'd put money on him collecting 10 if I found a market on it.
  16. Wasn't it always for equal points determined by who beat who when they met?
  17. Zmarzlik ordinary thru the heats but still manages to find enough speed for an LCQ win and final spot. Unbelievable !
  18. Jack Holder in an interview recently commented on how he missed a final spot because having finished on equal points with somebody who he'd beaten when they met in the heats but selection was decided on fastest race time. When did that BS get added to the list of idiocy by the FIM ?
  19. Or if you have a huge screen like I do, or phone or second device, use the baahnsport site as they have a racecard which is promptly updated, no need for doing the detailed work yourself.
  20. I'm 10,000 miles from Manchester and like you all no doubt, am hoping that a good racing surface can prevail over the weather. Alexa reckons its raining there now, but the hourly forecast I saw is for chances of rain to reduce from currently 90% to 50-60% rest of day and suggest maybe light showers throughout the day clearing around meeting start time. Not that I'd wager the family jewels on a weather forecast, but here's hoping we get to race on a reasonable surface.
  21. So due the backup meetings they dispensed with the meeting pre qualifier and reverted to the original system of drawn numbers? I couldn't find any suggestion of what process was to be used on that outstandingly useless FIM speedway website.
