  1. If were lucky BSI will only pick two Brits for 2005, it will have to go on last years results and the two places will go to Scott & Lee...........Mark is unlucky that I feel the new system would have suited him more, more permanent tracks, five rides to get used to the track, the outside is always better later on in a meeting........
  2. Ivan Mauger once slowed up in a race to make sure he wasn't # 5 or # 3 in the world final ,can't remember exactly, sure somebody out there will know, but his answer why he did this was that nobody had won over the 20 heat format from # 5, sure it was five, so it will be interesting to know who gets this number next year, there must be stats for the best and worst numbers to be in.......any body know ? what ever ! next year should be a lot more exciting from the first heat onwards
  3. I would have the winner & runner up going straight to the Final, then two semi-finals, with only the winners going into the final, then we would defiantly have no settling for second places......also won't the race points be counted forward with the place points.............or.........???? thought that's what I heard.!
  4. Euw. Not my idea of a nice place. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hey, i never got to see Porthcawl, friday night in the club house drinking, sat morning recovering, sat afternoon spent in Cardiff, sat night /late morning back at caravan talking over meeting, more drinking, playing cards: Sunday morning chilled out while kids ran wild, played football, swimming, go -karts with all the other kids, must say the go- karts were quite good, thought the adults was more trouble than the kids here, (all thinking they were Danish going into the corners) sunday evening spent watching the Football England v France, went straight home after France scored there winner, trust the frogs to spoil a great weekend; hope to see some more speedway fans next year: Don't think i could catch a bus to Cardiff from here though, maybe if enough speedway fans turned up, we could hire a coach from the caravan site:
  5. Hey shortoi, if you pick a caravan site like Trecco bay about half hour drive from Cardiff, you can get an caravan that sleeps up to eight for about £140 per caravan for the long weekend, you can spend friday night in the club house with other speedway fans (well there were last year) Sat, short drive to Cardiff: Sun, relax, there is other entertainment on site, lots for adults & Kids, right on the beach too: ( god i sound like someone from the Welsh tourist office) we left late sunday night to avoid any traffic (11pm) but you can stay till 10am Monday morning, you must have seven friends that you could split the cost with............ 6. the track last night was not the same as all year, even Zager said that: they took the top bit off, to make it slicker, who decides that?.. but the hole/rut on the third/fourth bend was as good as any man made one .......
  7. waht you mean d means defekt, what like he trottled off and let riders pass him...........Ha! Ha!
  8. or D2 (Wielki finał: Lindback,Chrzanowski, Bjerre, Andersen (d/2) Polak zajmował w biegu 2. miejsce, ale brutalnie zaatakował go Hans Andersen, uderzając w Polaka, który spadł na 3. lokatę. Sędzia nie zareagował! Na szczeście sprawiedliwości stało się zadość. Po chwili Andersen zanotował defekt motocykla, a Polak wskakując na 2. miejsce awansował do SGP 2005!) anybody translate
  9. Półfinał 1: Chrzanowski, Andersen, Andersson, Baliński (d/1) Półfinał 2: Lindback, Bjerre, Karlsson, Povazhny (w
  10. just watched pay per view football, wish we had pay per view speedway would pay £6 to watch this meeting...........looks like being a cracker
  11. ( tony159) yes you would think so! but then this WTC has some funny rules like the one about speeding the meeting up, if a rider delays the start by 2 or 3 secs we Excluded them and delay the meeting by a further 2 or 3 minutes???????????, why not send them 10 yards back so we could still have four in a race, and with teams like Hungary & Italy it would have been entertaining for us to see if they could hold onto the third place..........but then BSI only like to entertain us with live bands and limbo dancers and fireworks........
  12. great pub in Berwick (5 mins from Stadium in car).......were staying in Polgate, as you say Steve not much in Eastbourne, but if it's really hot, the beach will do for me and my boys...
  13. hey klymo, you obviously don't go to many sporting events, well the big ones that is, you always buy more tickets than you need, then sell them to the guy at the back of the queue..........it will surprise you how much people will pay, then you get in free.......been doing it for years at football, and the SGP...........also made a packet outside the Eiffel tower.....but that's another story, but what is it with you and this guy Steve from Poole ? whatever it is, keeps all us lurkers entertained.......looking forward to the week,Beer, Speedway, sunshine and seaside fun.........
  14. having watched Lee last night at Oxford, did not look 100%.......so what happens if he starts then gets injured again, after his second ride, can you bring on a replacement ....or is it just three men in a race.........a rule that i feel cheats us the public....
  15. Come on England.........Opps sorry gb, will be taking two weeks off work with my two sons, spending the first week watching speedway and staying up north, visiting tracks we don't normally get to, then staying at Polegate and Bournmouth for the world cup week, then it's back to work and overtime to pay off my credit card........then August 16th when Chelsea play Manure and the football season starts..........and more overtime, now if you think speedway is dear, try buying three Chelsea season tickets .....and lots more overtime..........Come On England !
  16. all mine arrived this morning in the post, they have seat numbers, block numbers, and row numbers for Poole, and seat numbers for Eastbourne, which is handy, don't have to arrive four hours early now !
  17. ordered my tickets june 15th, was told 7/10 days.......july 6th today, no tickets, but if we all have no ticket's, shouldn't worry, time to start to panic is when you haven't got your tickets and everybody else has ?
  18. who's fault it was i don't care, Sky have been showing the GP over and over again with all the incidents in there news channel all morning, can't remember all this happing after any other GP.....
  19. very intresting to hear Scott say, when tapped by greg "i could have gone down like some have tonight, but i'm a racer"
  20. you got to admit it adds to the drama for tv, the SWC should be good too now, shame Greg and The USA team ain't there, if only we could get this sport on BBC, sure the public would love it
  21. Scott Nicholls and Tony Rickardsen hit the rut, Nicki move out to avoid hit, a like most footballers of today afetr a little tap, crump dives and rolls over and over, to get the other Player (rider) the yellow card ( exclusion ) great tv though
