Went to the match yesterday at 14.55 their were as many people in a queue to get in as was inside 4 blokes opened some gates and took money off people didnt hand out tickets hope they were from the club lol.good news whitehaven won
Wilkie was a childhood hero of mine,but the real hero was his wife who gave her all in looking after alan after his accident ,and yes his book is a fantastic read get yourself a copy and cherish it .

Used to love watching him lay down on the straights to try and go faster,i was the pit gate boy when he knocked alan cowland off his bike when returning back to pits as he said himself he was going too slow,read ian's book for the double vision tale a classic ,rip steve a comets hero
Never been the biggest fan of afternoon racing esp on hot sunny days but will be there rain or shine and work allows just hope a few more like me feel the same,plenty of people off the big red bus been asking when the comets are starting again allways bang the drum for it,might be worth a free ticket me bain
