  1. Really enjoyed that, comptetive racing with proper 20 heat tension!
  2. Clearly wanting to make the prep for SGP as authentic as possible by hopelessly overwatering
  3. If anyone is interested it appears that qualifying coverage is available on TNT sports 6 from 1pm. Dont know about other providers but via red button from a TNT channel on Virgin media
  4. And we complain about British speedway making it up as we go along....
  5. Tickets on dale Fri 21st 10am for double event
  6. Plenty of street parking on Stanley Grove which is handy for South Stand if you are standing
  7. Potentially a good signing I think, not an Oxford fan but looking forward to seeing how Gusts develops, some solid performances in SGP2 ovee the last couple of years and an established rider on the continent. Good to see a new face and, hopefully for Oxford, and the league in general, see them devlop into a force in the UK
  8. Parklife festival that weekend, already one of the highest demand weekends in Manchester all year, nothing to do with Speedway
  9. Get ready for lots of moaning about non refundable hotel bookings! A word of advice for those thinking Of making a weekend of it in Manchester dates clash with Parklife festival which is always one od the highest demabd weekends for hotels in Manchester so few hotel bargains to be had!
  10. Interesting comment about Doyle possibly doing Golden Helmet next weekend....
  11. Lineup as announced so far http://www.zlataprilba.cz/startovni-listina-na-76-zlata-prilba-mesta-pardubic/
  12. Ropey burgers pies and chips and a bar with draft beer etc
  13. As a side note everyone was body frisked on the way in, open bottles etc not allowed in the stadium
  14. View is fine, not affected by podium in centre green and a decent view of big screen. Facilities are basic to say the least, only nod to a potential large crowd seems to be addition of 7 portaloos.. Catering is woefull however, just one small hatch serving beer, burgers and softdrinks, staffed by a very inexperienced team. Managed tonight but if anything approaching even a normal league match attendance on Saturday it will be chaos!
  15. Only fair to consider costs involved, I would imagine that there is a cost involved with renting the space for car parks ( with exception on Sth Stand) and security team to man them, all will ultimately be reflected in the end price. For comparison the cost of parking at newly opened co-op arena nearby is £25 per event (even when they end up being cancelled!)
  16. Quite right, same with riding 500cc bikes with no brakes at 60mph on a loose surface. Oh hang on.......
  17. All very odd, medical team could clearly be seen conference with referee and team mangers, Lemon makes an announcement citing Chief Medical Officer as reason for postponement and then has to retract...don't think we've heard the last of this. The very least fans deserve is a comprehensive and clear explanation of events Kudos to the BelleVue promotion for at least trying their level best to complete the meeting
  18. It was televised, in full, with no ad breaks and multiple commentary (or not) options and also on demand after the event on a channel owned by WBD. The option is there for you to watch it, just requires a £7 monthly outlay with premiership action also included, I would suggest this represents far better value than Sky / BT subscriptions in the past.
  19. Any hotel along the A6 will be easy for 192, Travelodge or Holiday Inn Express in town centre v easy for buses and will allow you to enjoy the delights of Stockport as well.
